Hi all. This is my first jam and finally the first ever game that I've finished.
So let me present you Spirit Path, an adventure game, where you are playing as a flame spirit, liberating and guiding imprisoned flames, while trying to find the way to the door of eternity in the unsteady labyrinth of the void.
In this game I used the "Start with nothing" theme as a concept of the map. You start the journey on a single block, and as you begin to move forward, the map, too, begins to reveal itself more and more to your eyes.
There are overall 16 little flames waiting for you to free (they will follow you till you arive to a cresset). If you reach the end, an end screen will pop up, with your stats about the collectibles found. Tell me how many flames you've discovered!:)
𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: The audio volume can be low compared to other games. You may try increasing browser volume if you can't hear sounds.
Programs used:
- Unity, (VS)
- MagicaVoxel
- FlStudio
- AudaCity
The game was fully made from scratch for the compo.
𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬: I intentionally didn't add any instructions, but they should be pretty self-evident, I hope.
If you are still feeling lost, try spamming "𝐞" key or 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 at boxes.
ChangeLog:
- Update#1: The checkpoint bug is fixed! You can now respawn correctly.
- Update#2: Fixed the issues with ghost navigations (stucking in one place).
- 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲::
𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻.
