Challenge your friends and family to those who manage to get the beloved ants to survive as much as possible,
against the craziest obstacles you can meet.

HOW TO PLAY

Your ant colony is under attack!!!
Keep 'em safe from the dangers that will threat your beloved ants, and save the most you can. Don't drop below the alive ants threshold to win the game.

There are three enemies to face:

Cactus ->
Keep the displayed keyboard letter pushed until it fades. Be aware, it can propose more than one!

Dungbug ->
Click on it for the number of times displayed.

Bee ->
Press the displayed keyboard letter, again it can ask for more key!

I was hoping this was going to be a typing of the dead style game. Having to keep one hand on the mouse and also type letters (while holding other letters) made this very difficult. The sound and music are fantastic and I love the colors and vibrance of the game overall. Great job!

I like the game :) The mouse clicking part makes it a bit hectic - I've played it at night in the dark so it took me a while to re-adjust fingers on the keyboard every time I had to use the mouse - but that was probably what you were going for :)

As stated above from others, I think the Music is very nice. A little animation or two, for example 2 sprites for a walking ant would add much to the graphical experiance. The game is incredably hard as I wasn't able to reach a single star within 6 replays, but maybe im just bad at it^^. Maybe some increase of difficulty over time (and if there is already, some easier start) would be great. It still got me interestet to replay several times. Last, thank you for supporting HTML5!

A neat game worth checking out.

Enjoyed this :) Gets pretty brutal quickly. Would love to see more more "intelligence" around the ants and seeing some interesting ant patterns like you see anthill cross-sections. Maybe the enemies destroying some of the walls or something?

Thanks @lexi89 for your feedback! Yeah, it was my first time using A* and I couldn't do any better than making every ant pick a random walkable node every couple of seconds, and having them overlap made the effect not clear at all. I guess that having a bigger map could help but in that case the ants would be too small to be seen... Unless we did some scrolling screen. I don't know, maybe we'll further explore the possibilities! Thank you for playing our game!

Really enjoyed playing this with my girlfriend, divided up the keyboard and I got the mouse. Love the art style and sounds. It would maybe help to have a little reminder what actitions you need to do for the different colors on the enemies. Real blast to play together and panic over whose button that is :laughing:

@darkmax14 Thank you for your feedback! Maybe we can show again the tutorial panel when you press pause, it may not be the best solution but I think that is the best option effort-wise. I'll let you know !

As you can see by me previous work, and even my user name (my name is Lair), I love a good wordplay, haha. So kudos for that. And wow, the soundtrack and the sound effects are simply gorgeous. Very good art and the mechanics of this game is supper innovative. You guys really nailed. Congrats. Great work! (Made 185,353 in my first play, will try to get a better score)

@lairinlair Glad you appreciated it :) I came up with the title on Sunday Night, after a dozen of hours at the pc, with a huge headache :D I went to bed thinking at the game and woke up with that title :smile: talk about the benefits of a good sleep, uh? :smirk:

Very fun concept and gameplay, I never had seen a gameplay like this before.
It was quite challenging but at the same time it was fair.
Really liked it, had lots of fun with it and almost won! (highscore of 587,798 xD)

Un po' confusionario all'inizio, ma una volta capito come si gioco è divertente, anche se sono negato in giochi del genere XD. Molto carina la grafica e bei suoni. Forse ho fatto l'errore di giocarci tramite browser ed era tutto troppo piccolo

A bit messy at the beginning, but when i figured out how to play, it's fun, even if I suck at such games XD. Fantastic graphics and nice sounds. Maybe I did the error to play on my browser and the it was too small

I had a blast playing this game! I love hectic-ness of going back and forth from my keyboard to mouse. I didnt end up doing very well but managed to get at least one star so ill take it! Awesome work team!

Cool idea - I like the multitasking aspect.

I scored 270,477 - it looked like 0 star, but I thought I had been doing pretty well :(

Some notes:
- Pressing multiple keys while also holding the mouse was a bit awkward - but maybe thats the point. I could also see pressing the number keys in sequence as a way to deal with beatles - 4321
- I didn't know during my first playthrough what was the point of the ants and how I win or lose (is it timed? do I have health?)
(I played again and found out that there is both a timer and a health bar)

I liked that, although it sounds simple, it’s really challenging! I loved the audio and the graphics are also good. Honestly i’m really bad at this game! Haha. Good job!
