Oh no, cat kingdom felt because of cucumber kingdom. You need to take control of a cat and defend the rest of the cats left.
/!\ This is a REALLY hard game /!\
Tutorial (I think that it's better to discover a game by ourself :D): Once you've started a new game, you will see something like this:
Let's look at the menu: You can see three buttons at the left, you can choose what does the mouse do with those buttons: The sword can be used to attack enemies one at time in a range of 2 block, you can hide behind a wall. The hammer can be used to remove or place blocks. And the circle can be used to heal the wall when clicking on it.
At the center you can see block selection: On the bottom, you can see what you can build on the ground. On the top, you can see what structure you can build.
Now let's see the right menu: You can see your health and your money.
I saw cats and immediately wanted to play, but unfortunately it didn't seem like attacking worked. I clicked and nothing happened. I tried clicking on enemies and there was no indication that did anything either. At some point all my cats disappeared and I was stuck in the middle with enemies spawn-camping me :/
I think I got 456 it closed out to fast. That was a really cute game, but I wish there was more of an indicator if enemies were in range. Very nice job!
Interesting concept. Unfortunately, the game crashes when launching via itch.io launcher. Only way to play it for me is to use the command line/running the jar directly. I'd prefer having a bit of feedback when I get attacked - I noticed that I have life points and can earn money, but I just realised this after like 5 minutes of gameplay.
It's a neat idea but it was very difficult to get the hang of it, even with your instructions on this page. I would recommend adding a tutorial page in the game too for quick reference. It was also pretty buggy, with enemies getting stuck at the start, and pressing on things didn't really have an effect. I think next time you should go with a smaller scale game so you have time to properly bug test. I really liked the art though, and your story is pretty cute
