Keep the cats alive! (You were originally also meant to keep your cat-social media account alive, but we did not have time. You can still take pictures of your cats, though!) I apologize in advance for any bugs (and for any cats that poop somewhere they're not supposed to) We found the game had two critical bugs: * The player being charged rent multiple times at the end of the month, resulting in the shelter closing down no mater how much money the player had * The player being able to buy anything in the shop even if they can't actually afford it.
We uploaded a version of the game with these bugs fixed that's playable in the web browser. Sorry for everyone who had their shelters unfairly closed down :slight_frown:
I spent so much time on this game. Making bank of these cats for sure. Once rent was due, it took my money and said I loss though, was a bit confused about that. Great game overall.
What a cute game, lovely playing it. But I got too ambitious and expanded too fast so I was just shy of the monthly rent and my shelter had to close :(
Doki Doki soundtrack is really hits the game theme and how you developed it and if there was a cuteness criterion this game would get 6/5 of course ^_^ In my opinion the heart mechanic is not so obvious and you may add some "click for cat love" text, but anyway game's cuteness overweigh all its minuses.
@fat-cat I love the approach and the theme, and more importantly my girflriend adores it though she did ask @ifidamas 's question about dogs :) It actually seems fairly well balanced to be honest, though having enough content in a Sim game can be tough in this tight a time frame!
I like cats, so I am basis, but this was really good. The only thing that bothered me was camera movement. I wish I could move the cam around and look at my cats. Its a pretty cohesive Sim game for just a weekend of work, Very nice job!

Also this visual Sims touch is really nice also reminded me of those cute 3DS games :) This had the funny effect of wanting to make the cats go away as this was the game objective and at the same time being sad about it, haha the little GIF at the beginning is sooooo adoreable!
The music was cute and caring for the cats made me feel pleasantly content inside - overall, I had a lot of fun caring for the kitties, and I thought that adding the camera shot was a very nice feature that made it all the more fun. Thank you for such a cute little game! :)
A very nice game, Sims are a tough one to get right in a Jam with all the potential balancing issues but you delivered. Delivered lots of cats!

This was fun to play, I wish I'd had enough for rent. I didn't know what I was doing with the photos, were you supposed to take pictures of the ones with fewer thumbs to get them some buzz :laughing:
I like how the game gets more and more intense as you get more and more cats. It's strangly addictive as well, all I wanted was to improve my cat-empire!
Almost got screwed by the first rent, because I upgraded the house with 2 days left and it increased my rent, but all my cats came together for a massive group-photo, to try to save the shelter, and it worked! :cat2:
Nice game. The cats are cute and their eyes even seem to glow in the dark like real cats!
I think it stretched on a bit too long, though - at about 10 days left I felt like I'd mostly seen it all and only continued to the end of the month because it seemed like the best stopping point. The music got pretty old by the end too.
There were a few minor glitches, like cats clipping through the edge of a wall, and cat names not displaying correctly if you click between cats without deselecting them first.
Overall a very comfy game - naming the cats and taking pictures of them were nice touches.
Very nice game! I was somewhat confused at the beginning by all the things possible to do, but I got the hang of it. It just feels like that months go by too slowly, it takes ages before the first rent.

I liked the graphics a lot, it was nice and coherent, the cats felt very "catlike". The audio was also great!
