Chonk Simulator is an endless arcade farming game where you must feed a greedy creature that has taken over your home. Don’t let him get too hungry, otherwise he’ll die.

I like the idea for the game but sadly I can't get very far because for some reason my character just slowly floats upwards to a point where I quickly can't interact with anything. Its fun for the first 20 seconds when I can still interact with stuff though!

Love the mood of the game altho some parts lack the finish it needed. Overall amazing work for a 72 hrs game jam :D

@billehBawb Hi BillehBawb, we are aware of this bug in the jam entry version of the game. Fortunately, there is a post-jam version where the issue is hopefully fixed!

The graphics are very cute and the concept is enjoyable. Some music could have been great. Unfortunately it's a little buggy and I couldn't play long but it's globally good job :)

The art is just lovely! Really like it when the troll is thinking about what to eat next 🤗 It is hard to control the farmer though, he randomly gets stuck here and there. The interact action does not always seem to fire, which makes it a little frustrating. In the beginning everything seems to work fine, but it gradually gets worse. I think that with some extra polish this could definitely be a fun game I would enjoy! Keep it up all of you!

The art's nice, but even when fed the bar would drop as if he wasn't fed. No music or sound would play, was there meant to be any?

It's a fun game! The art style is nice, and the speed-farming gameplay seems unique. For me, it was hard to put seeds on the fields, bc sometimes for some reason I was just wasn't able to.

@lamasaurus Thank you! Sarah did a great job on the Troll portraits :D If we spent more time on it, I'd say we'd definitely tackle the player controller first. There were issues with the way placement worked as we hadn't tried a grid-based placement system before.

Thanks @sunnray ! We're glad you enjoyed the gameplay :D We're aware of the issue with the seed placement, this is due to our inexperience with a grid-based system (often the target placement location wouldn't match up with the player).

I really enjoyed the artwork especially Chonk! The environment looked nice and I liked the variety of plants. I encountered a bug that made the character walk above the ground and there was also an issue with white sphere spawning instead of plants. Apart from that great work, you should be proud of yourselves!

The chonk looks great! Sadly, as mentioned before, you can't really feed him. Even in the 0.2 version the game says I didn't feed him although I gave him the food he wanted :/
But nevertheless, nice concept though! :)

Kinda unplayable. I like idea it's going for - farm food and feed the troll. No explanation of controls or how to play, HUD overlapping each other and obscuring the level, no audio whatsoever. Clearly ran out of time but concept is neat.

@owen-rees Thank you so much! Our artists did a great job :D Unfortunately that is a bug a lot of players have encountered. I'm looking to majorly rework the game in the future but I've got a lot of Uni work at the moment. Ah bugger haven't heard of that sphere bug yet :I must be a leftover placeholder!

Looks cute - especially like the trees and changing time of day.
Really had no idea what to do, but it was pretty so I just ran around clicking stuff until the poor Chonkinator died of hunger.

I liked the art. Thinking Chonk was funny. I wonder, why would I want to feed the Chonk though? If you let him die you can have your farm back and live happily ever after lol
