Earth Last Defender is a game about keeping alive our beloved planet.

You are in charge of the last spaceship with a simple mission: protect Earth from the alien forces threatening our planet.

You start with a simple laser weapon, but scientists on Earth will aid you with some improvements, with extra fire rate or more weapons.

The alien forces are getting stronger, so it's just a matter of time that we lose all hope, but try to keep the planet alive for as long as you can!

...Not bad. Only issue is that enemies can sometimes spawn already within firing range of Earth - meaning they fire instantly. Otherwise, once you get enough stuff you get really powerful (though get too much and sounds stop playing properly), leaving you with a kinda fun power trip. And that shooting sound... 11/10.

Yeah, I noticed that sound glitch when you get too many shots at once, I didn't have time to implement it in a better way.
The enemies spawning at Earth range was kind of a design decision to make the game end at some point, otherwise it was too easy to keep escalating and it became a bit boring with no real threads.

Very nice sounds :D Gameplay is fun, upgrades add a lot to it. I was able to become very powerful very fast, I think the upgrades spawn a bit too fast.

Haha, this is like the Doom of Asteroid games, you turn space into a bullet hell for the enemy.
I got to the point where bullets covered half the screen and my speakers were starting to break.
I think enemies should spawn in faster, plus some mechanic to deflect enemy bullets. Fun game nonetheless!

Nice game! got a score of 2000. I found the audio to be a bit much when you got a lot of upgrades, and it was frustrating that enemies could spawn in and fire off a shit before you had any chance of responding to them. More unique upgrade types would help a lot as well, but still a really fun game! :smile:

@jefvel yeah, the sound is broken when you have too many bullets on screen, I didn't have time to rewrite how this works to make it sound right, I will fix that when voting ends :) Enemies start spawning faster later into the game, but I agree it should scale quicker. Thanks for your feedback!

The art was good and the sound effects were funny. Solid game.

There should be some way to block shots from the big ships, and maybe a way to heal your planet/ship.
