The game is okay, but I can't seem to fire my bow. I'm playing with mouse and left click wont shoot it (I tried a lot of keyboard buttons but didn't find a single one to make the bow work). I'm eating flower corruption balls while I'm trying to heal corrupt plants, so they hit me while I can't move. Am I doing something wrong?
I guess firing them with the bow might make them stop shooting.
The music is pretty cool, and the concept is good, even if elven trees corrupting seems like a classic theme in RPG culture.
@carlix you can't fire your bow at the beginning as the first elve told you :D you'll find arrows later So you just need to dodge until you find arrows. To heal corrupt plants you need to heal then dodge and heal again it do not reset
I liked the music in the game, the art was also quite pretty. The story/idea was also quite interesting. But I feel like it requires a little polishing/balancing. It was a bit difficult to get the hang of at the start.
There are some gameplay and level design problems. First, you must explain the control when you acquire the capacity to do that. I'm asking why I can't shot with my bow whereas it was said in the controls at the begining.
Also, checkpoints or, at least, hearts will be a great help. Because of the shot rate of the plants, that doesn't let a chance to errors, I died too much. And a direction preview for the shot would be easier to kill enemies with the bow.
Continue to make games, that's a really good start ;)
The platforming seems fun too but the flowers shoot too fast so I don't have time to heal without getting shot (Didn't get very far...) Maybe add some checkpoints so you don't have to restart the whole thing if you're bad at the game like me :P Also the controls at the start get cut off from the screen if you jump then go back down, so maybe move those a little. Other than that though I love the art and animations and the game is very nice

I like the art! Dodging the projectiles gets really annoying in some parts, but the platforming is pretty nice! Also I found the heal animation to be quite funny :D
Loved the unique artstyle and the platforming and movement felt really smooth. The animations for the double jump were really nice. The text being typed on the first part of the game was a really nice touch. I can't wait for your next games!
Good work. I like how you have to heal the plants/tree in order to get ahead. Dodging the bullets while trying to heal was fun. It's cool that it works with a controller as well. Maybe I'll play better with that.
I really like the art style and music of the game. It was not clear at first that heal was for the plants and not for the character. Also, take a look at your level design and difficulty ramp. The difficulty of the game was very steep and didn't really give the player time to get used to the controls and mechanics of the game.
It took me quite a while to understand that with "heal" you meant heal the plants and not yourself. Maybe I'm dumb and missed something but would have been nice of the text at start would have been clearer about that. Could have done with checkpoints, or give at least 3 tries because only have the energy to climb the tree so many times :D
Wauw a very good entry. It's fun and challenging. The art is very charming and the theme is solid. I don't mind the difficulty too much but checkpoints would have been nice at some point. Doing the same moments over again once you figured them out is not that engaging. Very good LD entry, nice job!
I tried to heal the elves. I tried for a long time! Until I realized that it was necessary to treat the plants. Unfortunately, I was not able to go above the third floor. I am very upset because the game looks beautiful and alluring. I really wanted to go through it! Good job
This was a lot of fun but also frustrating at parts. It took me a couple of tries to really get it. But it felt really good to finally beat the boss!
Some Checkpoints or some way to heal myself would go a long way to make it a little more forgiving.
I love the art style, it is simple and cute but still conveys the dangers and tragedy of the corruption, really well done!
I had trouble shooting with the mouse, the arrows seemed to fly less far than with the game pad, so my aim with mouse was always off. Beat the game with game pad.
