The king must be fed to keep this village alive! He seems to like that goo the egg people produce! Looks like we need to keep these egg people entertained and well fed! Whatever we do we can't let the king die. You're job is simple, KEEP THE KING ALIVE. If you run out of eggs you can always right click to plant an egg.
Instructions :
You need to drag and drop your items such as food,toy and mating.
When you drop all eggs within the radius they will be affected.
If you run out of eggs you can always right click to place one.
I liked that the music got faster paced when approaching the end of the "crown-bar".
I was able to feed the king with the goo and breed a lot of different colored egg people, but at the end the king still died. I think I missed a vital part of the controls?!
@pythooonuser Thanks for the feedback.The kings hunger rate increases as the game goes. So the longer you play the more difficult it get. I think may have set it to increase too quickly.
Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

I played this through once without understanding what the poop was for, but then I went into the help file and figured it out. I think my main confusion was that the critters are called "eggs" but there are also eggs that they hatch from. Also, at one point like all of my green dudes died without warning... I know you get warned for hunger but it didn't seem like there were warnings for the other two things, so maybe they got bored and died.
Definitely a great effort for just a weekend, and it wouldn't be tough at all to really polish this up and make it something awesome!
@cataclysmicknight Appreciate the feedback. The game is definitely lacking a tutorial. The green eggs died because they have a life span and die out eventually ( This is not made clear anywhere in the help file). Working on creating a tutorial level as I feel a lot of people miss out on the full experience.
@dannyk1994 I don't doubt the tutorial will help a lot, and I really think that out of most of the games I've played this LDJAM, this is one with the most potential. It'll be even more addictive to try to maximize happiness and juggle feeding the King while also using powerups and stuff once all of the rules are made clear :smile:
I appreciate the sense of discovery you get out of this game, when I managed to make my first blue and red egg monsters that was a real satisfying moment. The main thing I would suggest is there is a lot to teach in this game, I would perhaps break it up into levels and just let the player learn feeding level 1, breeding and entertaining level 2, and power ups level 3. (I didn't even get to using the power-ups because there was so much other stuff to take in)
The shift-click to add to bank vs ctrl-click to feed to king felt awkward here in that it's near impossible to intuit that those were the controls unless you thoroughly read the help section. I would implement dragging goop onto your bank adds to the bank and dragging goop onto the king feeds the king. (Or clicking the goop banks it and dragging it onto the king feeds him)
I enjoyed the art, it had its charm for sure. A minor nitpick is the numbers on the goop were difficult to see.
@cataclysmicknight Appreciate it, definitely needs some polishing thanks. @flyingbear I agree the mechanics are a awkward and need to change. Appreciate the feedback. The only people I had play test already new how the game work before they played it which meant I kinda designed the game with the idea that everyone already new how to play.
