Grow Up is a plant growing infinite scroller where you water the plant to grow new plant stems to avoid obstacles and grow the highest plant you can. The game was inspired by our quarantine experience of growing and caring for our house plants.
The Game was made by Dani Prokisch and Fiona Feeney.
Unique idea & lovely game. I found that the game mechanic was a bit too simple though, as all you have to do is click, and it feels like you only have limited control over which direction the plant grows, so to keep people playing for longer times maybe you could introduce some other way of controlling the plant or the obstacles?
It was not really clear how you could control wich direction your plant grew. But it was somehow very relaxing. Just watching your plant grow. Graphics are really cute, with the leaves and flowers popping out sometimes
Very relaxing and addictive game. I suggest put one water can on mouse to and give it a little animation when you watering the plan it will give better feel. Thanks
The art style is very cute. It seemed like the plant grew in whatever direction it wanted to, though... but besides that, a game that gives you a nice feeling inside. :)
Lovely game! Music and art are strong points here, though the plant became for me very bushy, which didnt look too well. Small tutorial would be a help here.
Beautiful and very relaxing game. The growing mechanic (or rather, the condition under which the plant flowers and stops to grow) was not very clear, but maybe I'd find out if I played longer.
Lovely music, pretty graphics, simple intuitive gameplay, and a very organic feel make this one of my favorites of ld46. Would love to see this taken further, more feedback on plant health and maybe somehow limit the water to provide more challenge. Fantastic job!!
