You are an astronaut who got a distress call from an alien planet, help the little alien grow in 60 seconds!
This is my Ludum Dare entry... For one hour! I was very late, so I started one hour before the end of the Ludum Dare 46 submissions ended, however, when I was exporting my game I checked the website and it said 3 minutes and I was terrified, but I refreshed and it said 56 minutes, the most terrifying thing ever.
Good job on submitting the game in time! It is very simplistic, but given some more time this could be made into a cool wave shooter or something - lots of potential to expand upon! :)
If this is what you can do in an hour then either you have some really good scripts prepared for all your needs or you are super fast. Either way, very impressive, wonder what you could do over a full weekend or even a week.
First, thanks for the nice comments, second, I did have no scripts prepared, some of it I've done before (like enemies spawning, just a simple instancing script) but I did have some cool ideas like longer levels, a shop system for completing levels and finding secrets, so I might create a non-jam version with lots more features. hope I'll be on time next jam!
Most people couldn't have done a better job in 1 hour. There were many things that were missing (like sound, win and lose state) but you know that. You can still work on this game if you want, it seems like you have some cool ideas! Good job overall.
My game chrashed after a while, think that might be a bug. Also the text "You win" shows in the game all the time ;)
