A really good implementation of a platformer and escort game in one. Very much enjoyed it and the audio and graphics were very cohesive with one another. The controls were responsive and tight, and overall a really fun experience. Definitely would like to see more of this and want to remember to try and come back to play this again.
A really really cool game! Very polished and everything seems to fit together perfectly. The Barrier-mechanic is also very cool. I just was a bit sad as i realized it was already over after the third level, although the boss was simple but still challenging.
Very nice submission! The graphics, audio, and controls were all nicely done. I really liked the central idea of the game. While I did enjoy the game, I would have played much more if it just restarted my current level when I died rather than restarting the whole game. You would probably have to change death to be single hit, but it would be much less tedious that way.
I love the cute yet striking aesthetic of this game! The platforming is really solid and I was pleasantly surprisingly at how challenging the game was overall. Only issue I had was that the enemies on the last room before the boss would randomly spawn frozen on a few of the runs. But otherwise had a blast!
This is a really solid game! I love the graphics and music. The controls are tight and I love picking up the cat! I played it for like 20 minutes and still haven't beaten it, which is fine. I am awful at platformers. I also love deflecting the bullets with the shield, itd be cool if that could be used to like open some doors :smile:
Nice game, I'm just not a fan of permadeath. I like how you can kill turrets with their own bullets, though it is pretty hard to aim. It is doable in level 2, but in level 3 I just made a run for it. I made it to level 4.
great entry. Good controls, nice concept that works with the sound and graphic design. If I would change anything it would probably making the controls as tight as possibles as plattformers stand and fall with that.
Excellent art style and graphics! This old school games are exaclty what this ludum dare needs! Had a great time playing and I wish you good luck. Also think about porting that game to mobile as well with even more levels.
this was a fun little platformer. All though I didn't learn how to use the barriers right away but then when I did it was really cool to defeat an enemy with one.
It was short and sweet, my main complaint is that I wanted to play some more levels b/c I just figured out how to use the barrier and thought it was a cool mechanic.
Either way really great jam gam. Feels like it could totally be expanded upon
Nice game! Cool concept with simple mechanics! I would recommend adding wasd controls aswell, it might make it easier for some people to play. Overall fun little game with nice graphics!
Well well! A nice experience here! I found my favorite entry for this 46th LudumDare session. I am very impressed by the big amount of work which you did, creating this pretty game. The main aesthetic is gorgeous - red on black is always a good idea. Controls are smooth and efficient. I love this background music. You can say to your coworker that he did a beautiful work. The cat is so cute - and the main gameplay fits with the theme as well. Maybe enemies could be a little bit stronger because it's a easy to pass through all levels withour any significant difficulty. However I had fun playing. A very polished game with many clever ideas. You deserve more ratings. Well done. Thank you ++
This was really fun! The music is quirky, but I really like it a lot. The graphics really fit the style of the game and there were a lot of nice touches. I like the mechanic, although I did somewhat feel that the game had only just taught me the basics by the end - I think there were a lot more things to explore, although it was a nice experience as it was. My one complaint is that the wall jumps felt a bit awkward, since they went straight up - it was sometimes hard to get on top of a platform after wall jumping. I would love to see this expanded into a game with more worlds/levels.
Cool game! Had a lot of fun playing it. I felt I didn't have to use the barriers before the boss, so maybe it could have some more situations before that where you were forced to deflect something to proceed.
