lilAuNaut is a game where you are a scientist, who has been left on this planet to continue the examination of its wildlife and ecosystem. Your tests have been running fine until you are interrupted by a broadcast. Your planet is going to explode in a few hours and your mission now is to evacuate all test subjects and leave this planet asap.

We(Firefluid and TheStroyer) have already submitted games to LudumDare a few years ago so we do have some experience. However those former two games were made using game engines (GameMaker::Studio and Unity). We don't really like working with game engines in general so we have been trying to use SFML and C++ for LudumDare and have been failing ever since. This time we really tried but again without preparation. This is how far we got during those three days. It is not much but compared to former attempts we at least have something drawing on screen that is actually playable. So we decided to submit it anyway. We will continue working on this game (and we are kinda forced now to do so since we did uploaded it). Follow us @adexter_team on Instagram to see where this journey takes us.
(Depending on the feedback we might release the source code to this game)
How it fits into the Theme:
You have to keep your test subjects alive...
Programs we used:
- git, GitHub (version control)
- Fontstruct (font creator)
- GIMP, GrafX2 (for pixelart)
- VSCode (for code)
- Reaper (music)
- Tiled (map editor)
Code:
- C++/C
- SFML, RapidXML
