Description
Nekotchi is a simple, somewhat-idle Tamagotchi-esque game where you take care of a feline friend called "Dee". Basically it's a game about our cat, so you better keep him alive.Keeping him healthy and happy will earn you LOVE points.
Controls
You only need the Left Mouse-Button for this game. The on-screen buttons are as follows:- Status: lets you check information about the cat
- Food: give that precious, savoury deliciousness to the guy
- Play: play with him, it makes him happy
- Medicine: sometimes he might get sick, pop on some pills to heal that shit up
- Wash: wash up if he gets dirty
- Clean up: if he dares to take a dump on the carpet
- Sleep: order his ass to sleep

- Inkscape
- Reaper (for audio)

I never liked Tamagotchi games but I enjoyed my 10 minutes with this one. Maybe some gentle background music to top it off? Either way, great work :)
I like how you show in the paper what is the player supposed to do. My Dee is stuffed almost all the time, damn.
To try and come up with an area to improve, I almost feel that Dee could be even more needy? Quite a chill cat really. But that would be something that you could balance going forward.

I liked it, the sounds are really cool too, it's just missing maybe a little theme music.
And honestly: nobody could let it die, so no need to keep it alive ;)
PS: Post photos of the real Dee, please! Because... uh, because we need to be able to judge how realistic this is! It's very important!!
PPS: "Keeping him healthy and happy will earn you LOVE points." - oh no, LOVE spelled in uppercase letters gives me Undertale flashbacks... :s

It need a restart button when you kill your cat (accidentally of course :p)
@mono @awerar I deployed a small fix for scaling the resolution of the game, so that should be alright now.
@lery I did code event registering for clicking the cat itself for that exact reason :P Didn't have time to make the actual interaction though

@tobiasw @effarek @macabre You're right, while it has the generic Tamagotchi features in place it's a bit lacking in content (and too slow). There were lots of interactions planned but we decided to cut 'em to get the main game out in one piece.
And of course, couldn't leave a guy hanging for asking cat pictures.
@fat-cat He was so happy he didn't need to shit for 3 weeks straight. I think that is how happiness works.
@ryulan I toned down the frequency of happenings thinking to make it a more "pet idling in your browser tab" thing, but considering the feedback it seems more activity would have been the better option after all :P
Probably I would have loved a more immersive background music. But still, nice game!
A stuffed that fool full of pills and he ended up dying after 7 days, lol. But I couldn't get him out of either the poisoned state or the "doesn't look good" state. :'(
I loved the art in this though. :) I think some ambient background music could go a long way, but otherwise this was a nice little experience.
