it was a fun game. I like the Idea with the light. The start with the weapon selection was a little bit hard to "understand", but otherwise a nice game.
Surprising to see how much you managed to accomplish in such a short time. The selection screen was confusing at first like @sanicspeedgames said, but the sheer amount of weapons was pretty cool. I also liked the dude over the intercom.
Having your escort be the light is interesting but I feel like they should've followed you a bit closer instead of you going completely into the dark without light and getting shot at. The game's hard. I got killed a minute into the game, I feel like that is a bit too difficult. They can also get stuck behind walls.
@marxy-37 could you describe what happened before the crash? did you try not-ultra settings? (they disable a 3-d effect that takes up CPU) it also seems that the picture dosent load
i really hope i can help
PS: some of the generators take more time to load (like facility) try playing on caves or forest
@play-pause-games I have not tried to change the map, nor to change the graphic settings: I will try to change that and see what happens.
I don't seem to me to be doing anything special: - I clicked "play" - I was removing player 2 (because I have no friend =C) - I was chosing weapons (primary and secondary) - Then, the game would freeze for some time and then show me the error page
This is what is written on the screen that i sent before (because apparently the image didn't load propelly on the system):
"Error main.lua:653: attempting to index a nil value
Traceback main.lua:653: in function 'cast' main.lua:1221: in function 'draw' [C]: in function 'xpcall'
Press Ctrl+C or tap to copy this error"
As said before, I will try to change some setting and see what happens.
This was super challenging and fun, I enjoyed experimenting with all the different equipment (grenade launcher and beretta combo was the only way I could beat nightmare mode). Took me way too long to realize you can break walls, but once I did, the game went from way too hard to just hard enough. It's a little unstable, I had a couple crashes, and I see other people had some trouble with this too. There were a few times I spawned in a tiny room on cave and had to chip my way out with my pistol. I think the reload speed could be a bit faster all around, there were times I'd suddenly face a bunch of enemies, and there was nothing I could do with both weapons I had without taking a 5-6 second reload, during which they'd kill me. The lower-power pistols and smgs are basically useless. Overall, a lot of fun, nice job!
@dmars glad you liked it! i do agree that the reloads could be faster, but we did that with the intention of having multiple people (so they could take turns reloading). i also wish i knew more about the crashes, i do my best to fix that and have never had the game crash on me, so i think its like a pc spec issue. but im happy that you enjoyed it! and impressed you beat it solo on nightmare! mad respect that you tried all the items and content!
Nice amout of content in this game, good job! The gameplay is fun, but takes a bit of getting used to. There were some bugs like the score changing after dying, but it doesn't really effect the gameplay itself so it's really not a problem.
I liked the game. Playing solo was really hard. My VIP was always killed haha. First time I played with ultra graphics the game crashed, then I changed to lower graphics settings and it worked just fine. Solid entry, good job!
