Hey everyone, this is my game for LD46, The Greedy Lightbulb.
This LD was definitely one of my best productivity wise, and it went very well for a while but ultimately I was not able to finish what I set out to do. In the last 5 or so hours I scraped together what I could to make the game playable to some extent but it's definitely not what I wanted. With another few days of work I think I could've made it pretty cool but alas, only 72 hours.
While I'm not actually certain the game is "beatable" right now, It does look kind of nice. So if you want to give what I've got a shot feel free to.
At the moment the goal is to keep the lightbulb happy and lit. The more energy the lightbulb consumes the more greedy it becomes, needing more energy. Use your happiness points to purchase new contraptions to keep the lightbulb full. That's about it in the playable build.
I liked the light bulb personality and the faces he makes. Strangely, this game activates some of my ticks and make me keep push those contraptions to keep the light bulb lit, I liked the gameplay :).
Nice graphics and music, the gameplay reminded me a bit of those clicker games but more interesting. At some point though no matter how hard I tried to feed the lightbulb, it just became angrier so losing is pretty much the only option.
I do not totally get how I am suppose to play the game right, but I did like the games graphics and the music is okay. Overall is this an interesting little jam game.
This was a lot of fun really enjoyed it just some part of the electronics that got me confused but overall it was a fun experience! Looking forward to see more content in the future :D
In the end, I definitly couldn't beat it :p
