A tower defense game in which you try to protect the last woolly mammoth.
The units you can purchase are:
1. Caveman: Standard weak unit 2. Cavewoman: More powerful but has a slightly higher attack delay 3. Cavemansplainer: Does not attack, but buffs the attack speed of nearby units (multiple cavemansplainers do not stack)
Simple but nicely balanced. Music was suitable - not intrusive but added a nice background and tempo suited the game well.
The buttons to place units seemed to show I could place units when I didnt have the funds (I couldnt - just appeared that way) so maybe the button appearances could be amended but didnt detract significantly.
Pretty neat game. I got wrecked in my first one but made it to 7 in the next one with a bit of MS use.
Amazing game! I cannot guess pass the boss :( It would be great to be able to delete units. At some point I had lots of cavemen that do little damage but had founds to buy muy powerful units.
Thank you so much for all the responses! For those who are having trouble winning, one tip is just to create lots of cavemen, and completely ignore other units (especially cavemansplainers). Looking back, I wish I had balanced the units better, but it's tough to do everything in just 48 hours :)
I think it's okay that you've not added more towers or upgrades, as you've already stated, balancing a tower defence game is really hard. So I liked that you kept it simple. A few more animations and a bit more polishing would've been nice though. I loved the music.
wew, either this game is super tough, or I suck at tower defense games. After a few attempts I was finally able to get past the first tidal wave of skeletons. Got completely wiped by the boss at the end though. :(
Favorite little part by far was the Cave Mansplainer and his seductive "heey~" hahahaha
A simple yet fun little tower defense game. The units seemed a bit unbalanced but it was a very charming gameplay loop. I liked the simple graphics and audio, very cute. Could use a bit more juice with regards to animation and UI to keep the player engaged while playing.
I love tower defense games, and this one had me confused at first with what the mansplainer does. After re-reading the instructions, I was able to win. This was a cute concept. The only thing I would like to improve would be the readability with what's going on - sometimes it wasn't clear if a character was shooting or not. Either way I enjoyed it. Thank you!
