In “You Live Like This?” you take the role of an overworked, underappreciated, healthcare intern. Your job is simple: prove yourself to your overlords at YLLT Enterprises by caring for the poor Mr. X. Bring him toys to keep him entertained, water to keep him hydrated, and delicious buckets of Goremel(TM) brand chili to keep his belly full. You’ll also need to keep the furnace stoked to ward off the chill of the ~~dungeon-~~ hospital room. Also, the YLLT company computer provided to you to help monitor your patient has seen better days. Difficulties aside, we’re sure you can prove your mettle to the powers that be and sustain your patient… at least for a little while.

This is fire! Nice music, game fits the theme perfectly, the voice overs are a good addition to help the atmospher. So far, this is probably the best interpretation of "keep it alive" that I've seen.
Fun game! Especially love the sound effects work, which you clearly put a lot of work into. The graphics recall classic adventure games and it feels like a world that would be fun to explore more :)
It's a good concept and great execution. I liked the little voice notes that were recorded, added some immersiveness to the game and made me chuckle. The art's great and I loved the music.
The only thing I can pick oout wrong with this is giving the man the food seemed a bit difficult to do without any sort of explanation. Eventually I figured out that I had to bring the bucket over and fill it up but I didn't even know what the bucket was for originally. Perhaps a short explanation just for that bit would make this better.
There's definitely an element of humour here. I loved the "turn it off and on again" moment :smile:
Very cool concept and great looking art! If I had to critize one thing, I would say it takes several trips to increase water levels, and the difficulty increased because you can't give Mr. X water from below. I love the computer startup sequence, BendoverXD was a funny touch. Music fit the theme well and overall a great job!
I love it! Great voice work and a fun main mechanic are enough, but then the little comedic touches bring it over the top. I LOVED the operating system names/logos. Great work!
I enjoyed playing this game. The voice-overs are funny and the art is nice too. The gameplay was fun, but it was a bit hard when the computer restarted and suddenly all the patient's needs were down and it was almost instant game over.
Nice game, fits the theme and the graphics are cool. I like the little extra gameplay were you have to fix the computer. Though it happens two times in a row which made me lose, lol. Good work though!
I didn't particularly enjoy the game, but I think it did what it was trying to do. Great graphics, concept was absolutely horrifying, a little too real. Reminded me of the world of warcraft south park episode. That was really well done.
This is really about the theme and interesting. Unfortunately I cannot play with a controller like the UI show me. Furthermore, a score or a timer would be a good idea to add to challenge others to keep it alive and have an indication on our performances.
I liked the concept, the graphics were good and I find this kind of games interesting. However, I would have preferred it to be more mentally engaging.
Fun game! Voice acting is good, and I enjoyed the blue screen random event, sticks to theme well, haven't found a way to win yet, and I think more random events would make this game even better!
Nice job! Seriously a really solid little game. We made a similar game, actually, and I think you got the distance balance for all the intractable things down really well. One suggestion I'd make for future improvements is being able to play with the mouse would be awesome!
Pretty good! Very polished and complex for a jam, and the music was great. The voice acting was cool, but it was set too loud relative to the rest of the game. Besides that, very nice.

I didn't enjoyed it to the max though because of what I think is not enough time to balance the gameplay. For example I think that computer fixing is too long ; the idea is great but only pressing to reboot then be able to go on with other tasks but without the monitor to help you for a short time would be incapacitating enough, preventing the player to move at all is too much I think.
Balancing a timed game is very timeconsuming and not the easiest of tasks, I'm just telling you what I think could be improved but I still think your game is great. Oh ! And I laughed when I received the bill x)
Very good graphics and really nice atmosphere. The computer crashing and veeeery slowly rebooting was a fun touch. The water gained from the bottles felt a bit too small, since I had to constantly give him water. Otherwise the mechanics felt solid!

I noted some problem with layer sorting, you can be "in front" of the logs, but the logs are rendered above for example.
Very thematic game! Voice-overs and overall sound design were excellent and set the atmosphere perfectly. Difficulty curve felt good with new challenges introduced right at the point where I had figured out the rhythm of the game.
Really fun game, though after a while starts to feel a little repetetive. I loved the computer breaking, and having to remember what to do before you start fixing it.
Interesting concept! Voice overs are cool, and the intro was a nice touch. It seemed to crash on me after interacting with the computer. Some of the FX could do with editing to help bring them out, noise gating, and just generally tidying up. Good game all round :)
Very well done. Loved the voiced intro and the overall approach to tutorial and in-game items (e.g. the bucket). It took me just a minute to get used to the concept and controls.

Liked the art style and the gameplay mechanic. I think it would be more in line with the theme if you had text boxes with speach vs the sound samples but other than that it was a fun little game. Congrats!
Nice twist on the tamagotchi formula. The art and sound is really well made. Especially the attention to detail in the map assets. The room really delivers the mood of a "hospital" room ;) The controls work fine, but there are some problems with z-indexing and collision bounds of some of the sprites. The aim of the game was clear from the start, but I had some trouble understanding, how the temperature and food gauge are to be increased. After some tinkering, I got it though. The little translucent bucket sprite under the chili dispenser when carrying the bucket helped a lot. Good job on that! The rest was pretty straight forward but got bland really quickly since it didn't seem to progress in any way. There was no score, no timer, and no increase in difficulty (at not that I noticed) So I stopped after having no trouble keeping the guy alive. Is there a win state? If so, you should really make this clear to the player. If not, there should still be some game play variation to keep the player on his toes. This is really the only and most important feedback I can give you, because the rest is already pretty good and well designed. Only the water bottle seemed a little weak. I constantly making water runs because it only increased the meter by 2 pixels or so. Felt rather tedious. The rest of the items seemed to be balanced well.
The voice overs were a nice touch, but sounded like they were recorded from a really bad mic. I guess this was a design choice to imitate an intercom feeling, but it didn't really work for me. I'm no sound designer, so I have no idea how this could be pulled off better.
All in all, nice little tamagotchi/survival simulator (with all it's boons or banes) with some issues regarding the end game. Keep it up!
Cool! Indeed a really nice art style, I really liked the characters. Just wish there was some way to beat the game (I don't think there is, right?), so all I could do was work my ass off until I ultimately didn't pay enough attention to one of the four resources and/or the PC broke in an unfortunate time and watch the poor fella die. Well, that's life I guess! Well done.
