You only have 5 minutes to save the time egg! If you fail the egg will have to reset time until you succeed.
Get XP and Gold by fighting monsters (crash into them). This will cost HP when they hurt you however!
You can spend XP with the trainer in town to raise your Max HP.
Spend Gold with a priest to restore lost HP.
Items that will help you in your quest:
The Lucky 4 Leaf Clover: grants 20% chance to avoid damage in fights
The Boots of Speed: double your movement speed
Chickens: wait, why can you pick these up?
Controls:
Arrows keys / WASD: walk around
Space / Enter: pick up items, talk to people (toggle their text on/off)
