I love the running animation and the sound, I did 3 loops and collected about 20 coins. I think it is great that there is variation between each loop but because doing one lap takes so long it takes to much time to see the changes and I think the game would be better with shorter lap times. The controllers are also great and the main theme is amazing, I can't make a song in any amount of time so to make a nice one and a game in 48 hours is incredible. Had fun playing the game thank you!
It could REALLY benefit from some shadows beneath the coins to give a better idea of where they are in the world. Especially so for the ones in the air that you have to jump for. They are way to easy to miss because their positions are not obvious. Also needs some kind of peril to make it a real game. At the moment you just keep going until boredom forces you to quit. Even the basic shapes that 'block' the path in later loops don't actually block you, you can just walk into them and they move without affecting the player.
Gold star for comprehensive audio options. Also your player controller and camera are really nice. I do wish that it was a little further back but that's really just a personal nitpic.
What a blast. I just spent 20 minutes with this game and didnt even realize it. Its so chill and great. I loved the music. I bet you are a bass or guitar player? I would love to play a little adventure through a world similar to this with enemies, a bit tighter controls, lots of checkpoints and fun geometric areas like this loop as long as it didnt lose the chill factor by getting too like "challenging" or serious or anything. I wouldn't want that because I love the vibe of this as it is. Great work!
P.S. How is that catsoft game creator in your opinion? It looks pretty cool.
@theseusinabottle not sure if you tried the mouse scroll wheel, should zoom in and out. @fabdynamic yeah i wish I had more time to work on the audio I thew a couple things together and went with the one I though wasn't to over the top. put the mute in there case it was to loud. As far as the game creator goes it saves alot of time scripting some functions and can help quickly make a game. I enjoy it but i got it on sale and don't know if its worth the full price. Someone whose more advanced in writing scripts may not need the help visual scripting the actions and triggers as I do.
@deedz I did not just went back in for a second to try it and it was a big improvement. Don't know how/why I missed that. I retract my nitpick and add in that I like your characters model and his animations much more now that I am not being a idiot and staying at a max zoom level the entire time and can appreciate them.
