This is an entry made for the Ludum Dare 47 event.

This game is by no means finished, but it is completable currently. Consider this an extremely early demo of what might be to come someday. Early iterations of the first racetrack, the first escape area, and a placeholder victory room are present. Barebones, but technically functional. If you wish to, view my intention for the game below as I am interested in giving this project the time it deserves once academic obligations allow me a chance to do so!

======= Intention For the Game =======

The intention was for the player to enter a seemingly normal racing game and be thrown into a race. The announcer / flag waver would yell "GO!" and the game would begin. The announcer would give the player a tutorial through his announcements during their first race. The player was to race around the loop ("stuck") until they discovered a hidden breakable wall that would appear after a couple normal laps were completed.

The player would break through the barrier into something like "the backrooms" and after some exploration would eventually crash through another wall into a different racetrack, where a race was already happening. This pattern would continue and things would escalate in absurdity as the player eventually learns of the insidious intent of the announcer / flag waver and would find themselves now on the run through this matrix-esq situation to free themselves, racers, and race fans everywhere from the announcer's clutches!

This game likely would've attempted to be a differently spun "The Stanley Parable," which was not my intention going in but in my mind the correlation was forming. I initially brainstormed the idea with my loving girlfriend but unfortunately unexpected schoolwork impeded my ability to fully flesh out this project within the time constraints of the 47th Ludum Dare event. I have interest in finishing this when I get a chance though, so perhaps that means I have already won despite my decision to opt this game out of the voting process for now.
