In this Ludum Dare 47 (LDJAM / LD47WPG) submission, you need to wake up every morning and get ready to make the best impression you can on your new co-workers. How? By getting as ready as you can. Shower up, make breakfast, find whatever you can in your apartment that can give you that edge.
Just make sure you don't miss your ride to work. Survive your 10-day probation without missing a day or getting sent home, and you're home free! Otherwise, YOU'RE FIRED!
Full disclosure: My first REAL player that wasn't me found an input bug a couple of hours that locked the game up. Just uploaded a fixed version now, which didn't change any content, just prevented the game from locking up.
Very interesting concept! I think this has a lot of potential if you want to keep working on it in the future. I can just imagine having 20 different things to do all scattered around the house with the player rushing around! Good work!
Cool idea. I found myself trying different orders until I found one that worked for me. Unfortunately by that time I had already missed two days of work. I'm such a bad employee!
It was an interesting take on the theme, linking it to actual day to day routine ^^
Maybe I would add some comments in addition to whether the day was good or not (like "The day was bad, you were starving by 11 am and there was no more coffee in the machine" or "* was disgusted when they smelled that you didn't take a shower, you noticed they noticed, the embarassment was unbearable"), just little things that would make it feel more than just a good/bad bar and so that it would be linked to the mechanics of the morning.
This game hit a little too close to home with the shelter in place. I agree with some others that it quickly got repetitive but it was definitely an interesting concept. I think with some more variety on what needs to be done or feedback about what makes the day good or bad it would be a great game. Thanks for sharing.
