Arcade Deep Space

Very cool. I liked the concept of the portals bumping you down a level. Once I realised I could click and hold to travel it freed things up a lot for me. I was intrigued about how you gave it the 3D look as you travel through portals. Is it a pure 2D game or is it actually 3D?

I wonder would a bit of inertia to your vehicle improve the overall feel. Sound effects would definitely add a lot too. Game froze after a few minutes. Ship was stuck in place and turned black in colour. :( Great work for 48 hours.

Really cool concept of the top down layers. It was a little hard to tell what elements were on the same level as me so a color shift or something might be helpful. Really fun to play!

I made it 220 space things in. The bullet hell was fun. I enjoyed getting chased by the silly ships. It was cool to see the future space levels that were in orange. I mean it was cool at the beginning, and then it became really noisy and hard to see the red folks. Perhaps the future levels need to be darkened? Also, I think there's a bug where I can collect more than 3 hearts, but I only see up to 3 hearts. This game would be awesome with sound or music, not too heavy sfx, but just something to get you in the deep space vibe. The game played nicely, thank you.

Wow, this is legit a GREAT idea. I am very impressed!. My only wish would be to have aiming independant of movement meaning you are always looking and firing in the direction of the mouse (i guess that would make it too easy then... hmm not sure, but iw ould have been awesome). Great work.

Awesome level transitions. I ended up playing by moving with WASD but when shooting clicking once left and then holding right to get the mouse aim :-)
