In this game :

As a scientific illustrator you will go in the depths of earth to identify species. Go deeper and deeper and draw your meetings.

It is crucial for the scientific advancement to post your drawings in the comment section !

Don't worry about the technical level of your drawings !

The goal is to gather data to get consistent pictures of those species !

This game will only be available on download, at the end of your session you will find your drawings in the folder named Darwings_Data and in screenshots. For Mac users, you just have to display the Contents of the app with finder to access the screenshots folder.

In Web Build please don't forget to take screenshots of your drawings !

##### I hope you will have fun during this mission and after completing it by comparing your drawings with others !

It's a game made in 48 hours by myself.

I've used Unity, Music Maker Jam, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop & Illustrator and Josefin font.

Hi! I'm very proud of being a member of this scientific illustrators community. Here are my darwings from the information I could gather of those species:

My Review

That's a very fun game to play! The sound design and graphics are absolutely great and the dialogs are really well written! Can't wait to see the other drawer's creations! Awesome job bro!

@sharkmax218 Hi, i keeped the instruments for drawing very minimalistic but i can't add other instruments or improve them now, as it's a compo game which only allow me to dev the game during 48h.

Thanks for OSX version! Art is absolutely awesome, i love limited color palletes. Everything works an looks perect, except for a line that's moving right to left in front of the drill. I think it was meant to show up only when you're first allowed to drill.
Wanna make a more narrative game too next time

Not my best drawings, haha. What a cool game, though. I feel like GUI in Unity is so tedious (especially in jams) but you have managed to make it look really beautiful. All of the UI and controls are very intuitive and I love the drawing-based gameplay. Is there anything else once you've reached the bottom? Lovely atmosphere created by the monochromatic visual style and the nice ambient music -- I feel like I could listen to this while working all day. Excellent game!

The game looks really nice I unfortunately did not got in running properly on Linux (x)ubuntu 20.04, With the Wine emulator it showed a black screen with some white unity ui. A web or linux build would be nice, Sharing the source code is also always appreciated. Thanks for making it.

What a fun concept! It would be really nice to expand this out with more prompts. I loved the sound effects on the text boxes. I do with that the items you were supposed to remember we're interrupted, I was feeling the slightest bit stressed to make sure I recalled everything!

@kinart Thanks! If i had more time i would had tools to create perfect circles, squares and a ctrl+Z but i wanted to keep a minimum options to not induce players to make illustrations with hours of works x). You managed to did really even from the first one without focusing on the description gg !

It was relax. I draw the things the best i could. I love the arts, this blue tones were really good. It's really short, we reach the bottom quickly but there is no frustration in it. I had fun. Thanks!

You had an incredible idea with this game, it feel so nice to see everyone sharing their own experience with the game!
The only thing I could add that it was pretty frustrating to spam ctrl + z
I will definitely need to come see the comments again in some days, to take a look on the next drawings :D

@mrpouletbzh Yeah it's so fun to see all the drawings, i know that the lack of ctrl+z is frustrating it reminds me how i feel drawing traditionaly after drawing most exclusively digitally ^^. Thanks for your participation as well. Everyone's commitment motivates to participate myself, i will probably post my drawings once i've reached 20 ratings.

Didn't expect someone would make such a game! It's just relaxing and very enjoyable, the art and music is really beautiful. My only complaint is a minor bug where sometimes the brush shape is not correct, but overall really well done and well thought!

(I'm always not happy with my mouse drawing and too lazy to get my tablet so I'm not showing >_

Such an amazing concept and execution! The game looks gorgeous, the soundtrack fits perfectly the setting, and the little sounds played on dialogs are exactly the kind of stuff I can't resist. It really creates a beautiful atmosphere, filled with tranquility and mystery. And of course, the drawing mechanic is cleverly used, and makes an absolutely unique game.

Interesting concept! I like the art and the music and the fact that you told kind of an interesting setting through dialogue. I also brought some drawings from the depth:

The tone of the illustrator's dialogue seemed a bit off at times, like being kind of rude to the creatures, other than that, good job!
