For Ludum Dare 48, my (@lot9s) goal was to learn the Godot Engine. Over the course of the 72-hour jam, I achieved basic proficiency with the engine and was able to successfully produce a game with my teammate (@kitty-mama). The game we produced was a simple, top-down arcade shooter.

Cute shoot em up with cute graphics and audio. Been meaning to learn godot also, very clever to use the game jam as an opportunity to push yourself to do so.

I won! I like it! Very fun character design. I was expecting the path to get more narrow as you went further, but that didn't happen. Maybe that's something that would've made the game feel more fresh as you progress. Overall, good job!

It's a good little game, the "Nooo!" sound is hilarious. You could easily improve this game heaps off-jam, introducing so many more features and stuff. The weapon and movement is overpowered - I won easily by keeping space held and zigzagging from left to right, while staying at the very top of the window. It also obviously does not feel as polished and especially since you're learning a new engine. But you have a very good strating MVP to improve on. Congratulations on finishing and submitting!

Really nice game! I liked the fact that the bats give you 999 points, gives the score a bit more variation with little effort!
Only downsides I see is what some already said about restarting with a button (space or enter maybe). Otherwise, it's a cute little game that could be improved just by adding some simple stuff like a collectible or additional enemies if you plan on continuing.

fun little game that is simple to play. i did learn that i could just hold the spacebar and i think i could have played the game forever. #gogodot

Not bad not bad! There is a solid game here! It could use some balancing, because if you just hold the button and move left to right you kill pretty much everything without ever getting into trouble. But other than that this is a pretty solid game. Music - check, gameplay - check, AWESOME death sound - check!

One thing I would have liked is to be able to restart the game with a key instead of having to switch to the mouse to click the button so I could start over quicker.
