I failed to capture the essence of the game

I dig the art, love the idea of blocking distracting thoughts. Initially I was unsure if I was losing points when blocking things but after realizing that the timer was counting down I assumed it was based on blocking. Really dig the art!

I was so stressed out playing this.

I really enjoyed the theme and the art. The audio was really nice too! Awesome work :)

I absolutely love the idea and the metaphor! :D And the leaderboard is an awesome feature to have for this kind of game!

At first I thought that it would be easiest to "spam-move" the mouse left and right, but I think it ended up being more effective to try and hit the items precisely. The only thing that was a bit annoying is that I couldn't see where my cursor was, and I kept moving it out of the canvas element and got stuck.

The meditative sounds when you hit a thought is a nice touch too, but there was always a small delay before the sound started, so it didn't really sound as if I was causing it but more like random.

Overall very solid game! Congrats! :)

I feel like you should add a ludum dare logo into the list of thoughts, since I'm playing this at 2am instead of sleeping.

In seriousness though this is a great idea! The only feedback I have is that it would have been nice to have some visual feedback for when you deflect a thought. When things are going really fast, I'm not sure if I successfully block some of the thoughts because the audio is so close together. And I guess related to that, it'd be handy to have the screen pull out a little bit as it gets faster, too. Then a player could really get in the zone. Congrats on the first solo run for a ludum! That's a awesome achievement

Different approach to the topic, I like it. It is easy to understand the game mechanics without any explanations.

The artstyle is so surreal and I like it.

Simple and effective, some of the object spawns felt a bit unfair but overall very cool for a first solo dev project. Really liked the sound effects, nice entry!

Hey I loved your game! The sound and colour palette worked really well together to make it very calming, but then you had hilarious icons flying in. I honestly don't have a ton of feedback, because you did a really strong job for the package that this game is.
If you had more time, adding some more juice to the effect of defending thoughts could be really fun.
You did a great job, congrats on finishing and submitting!
