Downward Dog

I want that dog. Very good animations and visual design. Gameplay was fluid and intuitive as to how long it would take to dig each type of block. Great job.

Wonderful! Really cute graphics and fun gameplay. The best of the half-dozen games I've rated so far. The resolution didn't quite fit on my screen, but it wasn't a big deal. Nice work!

I really wanted the walking to be similar to the digging: i.e. one click moves me one square. I feel like that kind of precision would make the game more fun!

Really fun! The visuals and gameplay meshes pretty well imo, and the controls are suprisingly tight. I can see this being a small mobile game!

Oh my goodness, SO cute. I absolutely love the art style! The dog's animations are absolutely FANTASTIC. Particle effects are well implemented. I also love the bone blocks -- of course I should be able to dig up a T-rex head for extra bones! And I also loved the variety of enemies; it may not make sense that there's a one-eyed tentacle monster in addition to the snakes and moles, but dangit, the tentacle monster is amazing. Great job with the random map generation! The fact that snakes and moles can go through the dirt blocks without destroying them feels a bit off; I find myself wishing they either dug holes, or were confined to their own spots. The dog's digging seems slightly slower than I want it to be, especially on the rocky dirt blocks. Otherwise, it's a really smooth, fun game. Wonderfully done!

Excellent work on this one! I love the digging/upgrading genre so much and this game does it very well! I ended up playing this one the most out of all the games I checked out today. Very replay-able and really fun during the later game!

This game was super nifty, I could very much see it be a game for Android/iOS with a bit more work. Never figured out how to use the shop. But super well done

Incredibly adorable! I had a lot of fun and the level generation was pretty smart (giving plenty of tempting-but-dangerous bone locations). I enjoyed myself way more than I expected to! The menu screen was a very strong intro, the dog house and above ground background was super well presented!

A mechanic encouraging people to move quickly & some minimum amount of required bones would probably help gameplay balance, since right now to play correctly you basically want to pause and think things through, but the game is more fun if you go fast. The pickaxe item felt super strong, which is good for the game jam so that it's easy to tell that there was an impact to the purchase :)

Such a cute game. The digging sound fits well. I liked that you had multiple enemy types and a shop. Moving the dog feels a little off, as if sliding on ice. All in all, a good game!

The dog is so cute! And it's really fun to play. I always move a bit further than I supposed and it make the play more challenging.
