Wow! The artstyle is super charming, and reminds me of some games I played when I was just getting into PC gaming- lots of nostalgia! The game was just the right length and didn't wear out its welcome. Great job!!
fun game, maybe using more game mechanics from similare game like a dash. the boss fight is disapointing cause the best strategie is to stay so away from him you can't see it clearly.
Congrats on your first ludum 👍 I hope you will make other games in the future ^^ I like the graphics of your game and the simplicity of your gameplay. The story of going deeper and deeper in the dream would be more interesting if the enemies became weirder. One point to correct: the music transition is too abrupt between scene. A fade in/fade out in the music + black screen fade would be great 😉
Oh this is absolutely lovely! You all did a great job of introducing the mechanics through level design, and the gameplay loop was super tight. The aesthetic definitely reminds me of those crossy road mobile games (in a good way), although it was harder to see the connection between the jungle/ruins environment, the cowboy, and deeper into the mind.
The only sour point was the boss fight, it seems like the challenge was just the health bar being increased and it was a bit of a slog. It would be cool if it was more interactive, like releasing waves of enemies when you do enough damage, but you can't get everything you want in a 72 hour jam :-)
Great art style, I love the small hops to move around. The sound effect of shooting and hitting enemies are very satisfying (Would like some sound effects of hitting the boss). The boss was challenging and fun to fight against. Great job!
I really like that interpretation of the theme ! I wanted us to do something similiar but we went with something a bit less original. Beside that the game is well polish, feel wholesome, nothing much to say :)
I really like the graphical style and the gameplay is really solid. Only critisms I can give is that the boss was a bit big to fit on the screen and there wasn't an audio cue to indicate that I was doing any damage unlike other enemies.
If you were to continue developing this I'd like to see more weapons and enemies, the zanier the better because after all it's alljust a dream?
Thing I thought were pretty cool: - the music fits the game really well - the artstyle looks cool - it looks great when you play it, it almost feels like a finished game - the shooting feels great although it took some time until i realised i shot faster when I am holding down the shot button - the boss fight against the inner demon was a really nice idea
I noticed only 2 small things that weren't that nice: - the player moves a bit weird when colliding with a wall - the camera in the boss was in my opinion a bit small, because you couldn't see much enemies but then the laser came from all sites
Great job and keep up the good work. You clearly had a vision and stuck with it! Not much more I could add that hasn't already been said for advice. Definitely continue development!
This was fun! Great sound design, cool level layout too, nice job on progression, and the music was charming! I really enjoyed it, rockin' submission :)
very pretty game! it's like how i imagine minecraft would look if it was made in 2021 instead of 2011. i found it a little too easy to get mobbed and wish the movement system was a little more complex, but overall this game felt really polished and i could really see you guys building something awesome out of it!
Great concept and implementation, though gets a bit samey after a bit. Once suggestion might be to ignore the enemies from the damage pools, as it makes the game a bit easier than possibly intended. Also add an exit button please :)
The art style is super cute and very well done. The gameplay is simple, easily understandable and the sounds make it very satisfying. The game is short and to the point, really great for a jam.
Fun game, I had problems quitting when I was done, but I over all liked it. I take it it was "deeper and deeper into a dream" or something along the lines of that. The cutesy art style meshed well with the game play

but not rly related to the theme imo
Great jobs, thanks for this moment =)
