Hi this is my first ludem dare so be gentle. I've worked on and off game projects for a decade but I never finish anything. So this is naturally not quite finished, but it is playable!
Drop down in this random dungeon crawl of-sorts and try and collect as much treasure as you can without dying. No high score collecting, sadly. You can land on enemies either from falling or jumping (only button) but they can still hit you pretty easily if you don't come at em quite right. the chests (yellow looking blocks) burst into coins on contact. The rotated sprites like super bad so if it's not clear the white things with red dots are bad guys. The 3d shapes are holes you can dive into, if you land on the side of the hole that's solid ground but I couldn't render all that easily for the time being 😉
I've never made a rasterization before, and I did utilize Pico8's tline to get textured walls but I couldn't get it to look right, so I switched to simple filled lines. This was a huge challenge for me trying to get all the depth and perspective and math right, so that's partly why it's so unpolished. But I had a ton of fun and hope to participate in the next one 🤩
