Good work ! Once I reached the bottom i was not too sure on how to get back up though ? Because the signs tells me I need a drill but how do I get one ?

Good idea to have added the various sounds it makes it more playful !

Did you use a game engine to create the game ?

The fact you can only dig down and not sideways or up meant I couldn't get back to the surface. Fun game Idea that fit well with the theme

Hey! I just played through (most?) of your game. I was able to figure out that it's 'X' to place a ladder to get back up. I bought the drill (with 'E'), but couldn't go any deeper when I got down to the bottom?
Other than that, good job! I feel like this was a fun experiment to play through.

To get deeper you need to jump and land while holding E.

I enjoy the concept but I had serious difficulties finding a way to dig.
Mostly all I like it and the implementation of stairs are great!

Nice job! The underwater effect is quite cool, and I really enjoyed that I could dig under the merchant to bring him with me -- even though he took so many of my diamonds :(

I think it would help a lot for you to add the controls to your description on the ldjam or itch pages. I had no idea that ladders existed until I came back here and saw the other comments.

Would've helped to have the controls listed - Space, X, and E are really not very intuitive - I almost quit before seeing how to buy the drill and go deeper down.

The digging animation is a little slow. Also, you can sort of 'queue up' multiple 'diggings' by spamming the spacebar.

I spent a bunch of time confused about how to get back up to get the drill, but it was through comments here that I discovered that X places ladders! Would've been nice if I could have gotten some feedback when the fish were damaging me, as I didn't know they were enemies until I died and respawned on top!
