Hey i just played after you uploaded. I like the idea and game itself is fun but its hard to find gems, i found only 1 :(. Overall very good job!

Thank you all for the feedback. Page should be up and running now. I've also added a PC build, maybe it'll work better if the online game doesn't load.
@locustjin, glad you had fun. I must admit the gem spawn rate had hardly any playtesting :)

I like it a lot, good thing is that you need to thinking before digging, to be able to go back to your starting position.

Hey fun game, great graphics of the dwarf and using the pickaxe is very fun - I like how it floats around you. Funny sound effects! I think it is very hard to beat enemies though (or I am very bad at the game, I don't know! :smile:)

Mining games are my favorite! This was a fun little game, my only feedback is that aiming with the mouse seems to be off but that might have something to do with the itch.io page being glitchy (I had to use full screen to see the full game window).

Cool game. The audio clips were all over the place and I got eaten alive by bats very quickly. It seemed going left and down did nothing, but as soon as I went to the right, i started finding tons of stuff. I died with about 20 iron and a few gold. So maybe it's a bit too hard right now? Thanks for making this!

I like your game :D The idea of generation by breaking a block ( if it is well the case ) is interesting.

@zetius, yes, everytime you break a block, new blocks around it are randomly generated. So it shouldn't matter in which general direction you go @harrison-dunn, but it's interesting you had that perception :)

I agree the bats are too op right now. I think I'll add a mechanic where you can buy new hearts from the master-dwarf or something in the future, to make it more balanced.

The dwarves are a bit too vertically challenged, I couldn't get back to the king because it's so hard to precisely hit tiles to stairway up.

I overall liked playing this game. It looks great, and it feels great to play. But it also feels very much like a 2D version of Minecraft, and this is necessary bad, but I would have liked the game to do something new and interesting with this kinda gameplay. But okay it's really not bad, and for a first released game it's really well made. Well done.

It ain't easy to become a dwarf. They expect from you a lot, and I mean A LOT!

I really love the little dwarf graphics, would've loved sooner instant gratification so I wasn't so discouraged to grab 100 iron in the beginning! Espescially after breaking one open and getting 1 to 3, I like the idea of this sort of thing.. and I really like the bat sound effect, very funny!

I think its good, but to punishing, I had a lot of iron and gold, but no gems :/ Died from a bat

Fun gameplay that just needs a little balancing. The goal of 100 is way too high to start the game with. The dwarf could do with a little speed increase too.
There have been a few collecting games this LD and this one is one of the betters ones. Cool game.

Nice one. It took a lot of time to find 5 diamonds but I made it.
The game just need more levels with different tasks and monsters and it would be cool.

Nice idea and has great visuals and audio. Looks super cute and I like the variation in mining sound which makes it less one dimensional. I agree that the bats are a little op since you don't get any warning when they appear and immediately lose at least one life which makes it a luck game rather than skill. Maybe adding a longer "poof" when they appear and let them hover for a second before chasing you will give the player time to react.

Really cool that it's all randomly generated! Would maybe add a few levels to it to add a sense of acheivement and progress.

Overall really awesome entry and defo one of the better collecting games this jam! Well done!
