Shadow Temple is a shooter on rails that takes you deep beneath the holy temple to destroy the evil demons trying to taint its holiness!

My goal for this jam was to create an on-rail shooter system for Godot inspired, visually and mechanically, by PS1-era games with similar mechanics. I think I accomplished that goal! The game consists of two short levels and a boss fight with an on-rail system that takes you through the fight. Of course there were many things that I wanted to add that I never had time for: more player abilities, dynamic enemies, visual effects, etc. Alas! At least for this LD I can say: I submitted!

I would have definitively love if this were longer, it was really funny though the controls were a bit though to get, there was not enough feedback.

I had fun and the idea was nice. However, a little bit polish is missing. The player feedback when hitting or getting hit could be improved (bigger text, sound, camera shake?); And the attack of the player was little bit clunky. But overall it was nice! Good job.

Lovely. I had a bit of trouble to figure out how the shooty bit actually works. It would appear that the projectile is a bit hit and miss with its appearance :D
But once I figured it out it was pretty great then. Although ... I'm not sure if there is a fail state. I got hit so many times but still cleared one of the levels.
