Viking with a shotgun. 11/10

Really good! Loved the art. Controls were tight. I did feel like the difficulty spiked a little bit. Also, I think the shooting could have used lots of juice to make the shooting really satisfying.

But overall really solid!

About the "juice" for shooting, I gather you mean screenshake? Because there's a lot of other juice already, lol. I become nauseous personally from screenshake so I left it out from this. The script for it is in the code though, just unused. It was deliberate to leave it out. But I'll add it as an option in the version that I develop further after the jam. About difficulty, I didn't have time to balance the game more so it is what it is.

Known issues (updated along the way):
- Lack of screenshake or further juice! (left deliberately out for health issues)
- Difficulty spikes up quickly
- Accidential upgrade pickups
- Random Viking Teleport Powers! (tm)
- Bloodcolor select -button should work like other buttons!
- Volume levels are really low! Sorry I left them at like 20% so turn up the volume!
- Will add volume sliders in the further developed version

The game is simply amazing, i love the sound effects and the concept of the game, a viking with a shotgun is unique and funny, i had lots of fun in the dungeon, great game

Incredibly entertaining and enjoyably simple, just like a jam game should be.

Nice game, probably needs more "game juice" like screen shake, and an increase to the damage the player does, as the player felt (and was) very weak compared to the enemies, especially considering the size of shotgun :D

Nice video. I watched it and apparently my game has every visual juice thing from it already except for the screenshake, which I mentioned above that I deliberately left out this time because it makes me feel nauseous. :D

Good to know there's nothing more to add to my game in that sector and my game is basically juice-complete.

For the further developed version I will add options for screen- or object-shake, controller vibration, and maybe slight knockback in addition to the already existing squish/stretch effects on shots.

Those are the only things (in addition to some variety of enemies, not very applicable in a compo attempt) that I don't have which are mentioned in this Fun-video.

It may be that in this LD entry of mine, the visual effects were left too weak, but they are there. So you may have missed the things that are all actually implemented. That is indeed something that needs tweaking in the future.

Every juice is in, it's just not noticeable to every user. Sadly. :)

Nice little game with tons of upgrades. I spent at least 20 minutes to try different builds. Some additional content would be great. Still, it's very entertaining for such a small game. Good job!

I think the upgrade system was reaaaaally good. I started off going straight damage thinking that was the "obvious" way to go but actually most of the upgradeable attributes were meaningful in their own way so nice work balancing all that.

I love this game, I lost it for a long time =) Very cool, great entry! A little lack of camera shake when receiving heavy damage, or some other impact, but overall very cool!

How does one make vikings even cooler? SHOTGUNS! Really cool little game, but what happened to the music? It was there in the menu, but gone in the game? That's too bad, because everything else about this game is great! The sound effects, the graphics! The gameplay feels good and the upgrades make sense!
