This game was a combined effort of my friend Ozan and I. We've sort of made a tradition out of this competition and it was especially stressful this year as I am writing this with only having 30 seconds left. Every year we challenge ourselves to relearn coding and art. I shit you not, the last time we did any of this stuff was last year and the year before. I hope you enjoy this game, we took it up to the last second :).

This is HELL is a puzzle and survival game. Your goal is to navigate the mazes while avoiding enemys and other things. Find The exits (They're not always easy to find, but they're there). P.S. Press "R" to reload.

Dark, atmospheric, fits the tone and theme really well.

There is something satisfying about killing those white dudes! :gun:

I really liked the music as well! :v:

Also, the honesty of running out of time when the game over screen comes up... I think we can all relate to that feeling :joy:

Feels like a C64 game.

But: you a have not enough ammo. The movement is a bit of. And the exits are hard to find. I know others will disagree but you might want to think about using a template that has a simple startscreen and restart mechanic. Games without menus are allways a bit anoying. ;)

Overall a fun experience. Game feel and core mechanics are there and are implemented well. You mention picking up programming again recenlty and running out of time. What you have is great but I think it just needs a little more. Such as a time survived or a total enemies killed.

I think the line of sight shadows around the rocks look cool af.

This is not bad. The areas and music are great. Although I feel its missing feedback and "juice" for firing and taking damage and hitting enemies. Also I wish there was an explanation of controls and perhaps making the walls more obvious. Good idea and game !

Wow! This game was really good. And I adore the artstyle and music (level 2 had my favorite music). Correct me if im wrong, but I see people complaining about ammo, but you have infinite if you press R, because thats how it was for me. One suggestion I have is maybe adding a corpse or hit sound effect to the white enemies.
Something I really enjoyed and found extremely funny was dying. I love the music with accompanying text xDD.
