A: I'm an experienced gamedev in Unity, Haxeflixel, Gamemaker, etc., so I decided to try something new.
Q: BUT IT'S FOR BABIES!!!
A: Actually it's a lot harder than I expected. There's no drag-and-drop code editor or anything of the sort; it's straight up Lua and a text editor and software that looks like a crappier version of Unity. And because every game is massively online multiplayer by default, there's a lot of funky server stuff that would otherwise be super simple to do in a single player engine. And the documentation is pretty garbage.

Q: OK HOW DO I ACTUALLY PLAY ROBLOX, I'M OLD
A: Girl, I gotchu. I'm in my 30s, so, basically a senior citizen when it comes to Roblox. If you're on a computer, you're gonna wanna go to roblox.com and make an account, then download the game client. It only takes a minute. Then, visit my game URL. It'll launch the game from the browser. You can also download the Roblox app on tablet or mobile and play it there!
Q: DID YOU MAKE THE AUDIO?
A: No. This is a limitation of the platform. All audio has to go through a manual moderation system, which takes time and *real money*, so I used free stuff from the Roblox asset store and I have opted out of being rated on Audio.
KEYBOARD CONTROLS

Just for you I setup a Roblox account and played around - interesting an enjoyable. Sad to see that you can't use your own music - and also thanks for the postmortem, maybe I should check that out for fun as well!
Now, I think I'll give my buddy a call.
This was a fun little experience. I enjoyed that I could restart the dialog and test various paths through the short bits of clever prose. I also dug the charmingly severe transitions between environments. It put to rest the question of which is a scarier hell: the spooky creepy gross bug kind, or the one with puppies. No contest.
I was determined to find some glitch to escape Heck, as I could see outside the walls with the camera. But those colliders were too strong. I tried glitching into a superjump by getting stuck between the two signs but that also refused to work.
The best I could do was walk left and right very quickly around this spot here, which triggered a restart to the torture-music and provided some much-needed tranquility:
