A boat in the storm

This was neat. I am digging the abstract ocean visuals. I really liked the music, but you didn't put audio as a rating category so I'm assuming you didn't make it?

Thanks @nick-rafalski! I only worked two evenings on this so I gave up the music side and focused on the sound effects instead, the music is 10,000 Leagues by The Wilder Society.

Good game with minimalistic visuals

Simply concept, but works very well. I love the minimalist graphics!

It was fun, interesting concept and art. Best I managed was about 35 miles it seemed before I'd get flipped over.

This was a great minimalist game. Great example that bigger isn't always better, especially for a game jam.

@wakobu thank you very much! Since it's a compo I wasn't sure if I could register in graphics since I edited but didn't made _all_ the graphic assets from scratch (rank icons for examples)

@jacqueslelezard Ok I see. If it's only about the rank icons, I think you should have enable graphics ranking but putting a notice the description :wink:

Had the rank icons drawing over the text (21:9 ratio monitor probably kicked it out) but a simple gameplay mechanic that works. Captain rank for me, but still got caught out by a rogue wave!

Love the minimalist style as well as the sound in this and the ticking of the wheel is very satisfying!

Amazing game! One of my favorites thus far. I loved the artstyle, and the sound was incredible - both the music and the sound effects. My highscore was 32 miles - arrrrr! My only gripe was that twice I died while going in the right direction - the water was faster than I could rotate, which meant I couldn't do anything to survive, which felt bad. Other than that, incredible entry!

And one last thing - I'd love to see the changelog between the compo version and the latest one (besides the fixing playing outside fullscreen).

Very cool looking the game. Although the mechanic is simple it's presented in a very creative and beautiful way, I really enjoyed stabilizing the boat. I would like if there were more additions to it in terms of mechanic as you progress further.

Pretty fun. The graphics go a long way for being so simple. It would have been good with some anti-aliasing on the boat, though.

I noticed that the waves sprites are too short on the side, we can see the limit when the sea is very restless. Very good entry.

I tried several times, but I think I didn't find all the ranks.

Really nice and clean art style. The music is nice too. Cool little game! I do not know why but, on my first try, I did not get rank :( There was a blank space after "Your rank:". But on the next attempt I got 40 miles!

Really cool idea, I was impressed at how well the simple art style worked! The motion of the boat was really effective, but I did feel the end came rather surprisingly. A bit more indication of how far is too far to tip would be nice.
