Really enjoyed playing this. The music and art were very well done.
I was in the middle of a big jump across the screen and got DESTROYED by a falling boulder. Talk about bad timing haha. It would be nice if there was an on screen warning to where the boulders would fall, but there is never enough time to implement everything.
Nice entry! I've only managed to get to about 130m (for now!), but there's a huge variety of obstacles on the way so far.
The music track is short and simple, but that's perfect for this type of game, as it does not distract you from your attempts to go further and further up. The pixel art is looking pretty good.
One thing I had a problem with is related to the falling square stones. At first, I thought they were just appearing randomly. Then I've noticed the shaking/rumbling is telegraphing them, but it happened much too early for me to connect the two together. Only after my third or fourth playthrough I've noticed there's actually something telegraphing the location where the stones will fall, but to me it is barely visible. I've recorded some footage and after a few minutes I think I found out what the problem is:
The small rocks are displayed behind background elements, so they're barely ever visible. Fortunately, I think it should be easy to fix by setting a higher order in layer on the sprite renderer.
Other than that, I think it's a pretty solid entry. Reminded me of a few old Flash games I used to play. Well done!
Nice work! Graphics and music are very well done! If I could criticize something I'd say it's missing a bit of interactivity, but overall it's fun and polished
I got up 131 meters :), I really like the art and the jumping works well. A boulder took me out in the end ^^.
A bit of feedback: Currently there is no real reason to ever *not* double jump at the apex of your first jump, if a player will always do a certain action maybe that should just be automated (i.e. no double jump, the initial jump is higher). Alternatively: you could give limited charges for this double jump that regenerate!
I really like the graphics. The gameplay is also fun, I just wish there was more feedback for when you jumped. The jumping feels way too floaty, and it seems unclear as to when you actually jump. However, that being said, the gameplay was really fun and I loved the pixel art.
One problem I ran into was that when I died, the lava just kept rising and I couldn't restart
Same bug as @mateu , died at 81m and no restart button appeared.
The pixel art is really cute! It was extremely hard to get off of the starting platform though, I had to jump at the last possible second before death by lava and there was only about a 50/50 chance of making it to the beginning of the generated platforms. Also, at my 81m death, I think the game got bugged out? The only available platforms were offscreen so I couldn't jump on them, and an enemy went off-screen and didn't come back.
Might have to keep doing this a little later, I can never resist the chance for a high score. 😄
That's a cool game! The art is really nice and atmospheric - the first jump is probably a little too high (as my first thought was "well that's not feasible before the lava gets here" - got past that on the second go of course).
It's a fun take on the theme, and while it uses a simple mechanic, it is quite effective.
I just guess that the controls doesnt anwser as precise as it would be ok for a jumping based game, but i'm not the best player around and it is working in any way you look at it.
The graphics and sounds are quite simple, but perform well their role in the game.
Nice art and music. Simple but functional gameplay. A nice, polished entry, I like it. However I had a situation where a tiny ledge was at edge of the screen and I could not jump from it. Other than that I encountered no serious problems. Perhaps the jump sound could be a bit quieter?
very good game, i really liked the graphics, specially the background, but i feel like some platforms are generated into an arrangement that is impossible to proceed, i also found a bug where the blue ghosts can walk beyond their platforms, and i recommend a volume option, because the game begins at full volume and i had to mute it
loved the art and sound :) kinda easy tho, consider using a "coil" system to drag the lava closer to the player and keep the danger visible Great controls, smooth responses, great work :D
Cool game! The music is nice and the actual concept fits into the theme well. Sometimes the platforms spawn in a big clump and also sometimes when i go to double jump it thinks ive already double jumped. Other than that great game!
Good game, solid entry. The graphics are cute and music catchy. I feel the platforms at the start should be lower so you can use single jump to get going. The platform edges probably shouldn't have collision. Unless it is intentional.
Although the mechanics are pretty simple, it is a very fun game to play. However, the beginning can be a little bit unfair - sometimes the blocks spawn too high, but that’s no biggie. And I love how the game looks - it looks fantastic; especially the background!
Got to 49 m until I got slapped by a falling boulder. I liked it! Music was good. Agreed with the edges of platforms having collision catching me by surprise.
cool game, reminded me of playing icy tower, i think there is a bug where the game don't reset when u die and the lava just keeps going up, other than that very cool

Nice game with simple mechanics! Like that cute skeleton artwork too. It would be better if there is a warning mark and red zone before the meteor strikes!
Nice game. I also noticed the bug where there is no play again button sometimes. Sometimes I think it didn't let me double jump. I really liked the audio though and it was quite addicting just trying to get a better score than last time. I also think that the platforms should have started closer to the player to make it easier to get started, especially on the first time playing.
Nice Game !! Good job, the pixel art is very good, the procedural is good too; the music is good, i really like this casual game, this can be a phone game where i can play on transport.
This reminds of Doodle jump. I really played a lot, and enjoyed that game. And this game feels good too! Nice pixel graphic + Jump control feeling is really nice!
Hey there! You have a very nice game with solid mechanics. The pixel art is very very nice and transports the mood really well! I climbed above 120m after a couple of tries. Somtimes it seems like it is stuttering a little bit, don't know if it's the frame rate, or the camera. Check if you can smooth the camera movement.
Great game! A few times I had to reload the page because no restart button was shown. Falling blocks got me a few times, I would've appreciated some kind of visual warning, the sound was not enough, at least for me. The enemies make that part of the game more challenging in a really fun way, maybe you could expand it with different types of platforms, like unstable ones where you can't stand for very long. Nice job!
I enjoyed this a lot! Felt polished and I thought the music, art, and design came together nicely. I did have the game get stuck a few times after I died and I had to refresh. BUT I actually wanted to refresh because I wanted to keep playing! :) Great job!
I had a problem that it didn't detect the second time I died, had to reload. Discovered that eventually the red square goes past  But reloading worked. Enjoyed the sound and the jumps were well timed. Wish the first platforms got to me faster before the lava came up, if you miss the first jump you are dead. Thanks for letting me play this!
Great game. The controls were very intuitive. I died a lot so it would be nice to just hit a button to restart. Also, having some save points would be nice. I'm not good but still interested it what could be at the top!
Very well polished game! So pleasant to play. The platform generation can be frustrating sometimes, though. I encounter 2 game loops where I couldn't jump because generation put the nearest platform too far from me (I tested every possibility, I had time xD). But well 2 out of 15 times, it's ok! Great work!
Cool entry :) The music was very nice and fit the game. It had me coming back for more! I got blasted by a falling rock a few times haha but it seems balanced! good job!
The music is great and the controls work well. Wish the game restarted itself on death. I got to 130m as well. Great submission and congrats on getting such a complete game ready in time!
Lots of fun! Nice controls, liked the graphics and audio. Minor gripe with the single long tone in the bgmusic, not for me! Thanks for making such a fun game!
looks and sounds great! The jump sound is a bit obnoxious maybe, especially since it gets spammed a lot. love the pixel art, fun design, I wish I didn't keep getting annihilated by those falling blocks XD
The art is nice, but there is something broken in it. The room for the first double jump is very short (and easy to miss), the music starts to annoy after 5 tries. Don't get it wrong - it's a nice one, I like it, but it requires some polish. Keep rock!
Great game! The art is fantastic, and it's a lot of fun trying to beat my last score. It seemed so simple at first, but once I got to 75m and started seeing enemies, it felt really rewarding to have discovered a new layer of complexity. Nice work.
Pretty nice little game, although I did manage to somehow break the game and fail without the end screen showing up. The platforms seem to spawn a bit too random, sometimes making me fail with no other choice.
Neat little endless climber game, implementation seems fairly solid - but a small issue I had was the only path up I could see involved a tiny platform at the edge of the screen, and standing on it stopped me from falling down (though it still animated as if I was) but didn't allow me to jump (wasn't fast enough to grab a screenshot, sorry). The addition of the enemies was a nice twist too!
I managed to get to 43m, not sure if its good or not but I was proud of that! the procedural generation doesn't seem to work all the time, I got into "soft-lock" situations more than once. The audio & visuals are great as well!
You can double jump @uglyswedishfish Plus there is a glitch where if you let the platforms go over the top of the screen, new platforms can spawn lower, so you can jump onto them
The graphics on this are crazy good. quite enjoyable game as well. I just wish that there wasn't such a big jump at the start of the game. Overall great entry!
It was a really fun game, and I saw different mechanics as I got higher and the game got harder.Loved it!
The first step of the jump was a bit of a test for me. I found that jumping too early seemed difficult to get to the platform, so I needed to seize the moment
the game is somewhat simple in its mechanics, but it doesn't make it less satisfying to play :) especially since visually it seems rather polished, or at least consistent liked it!
Funny and great game! I loved the different mechanics as I got higher... that a good level of GameDesign :) Graphics is great and sound effect fits perfectly.
Had a little problem with platform generation: I ran into a guaranteed loss when platforms that were high enough to progress had only about a pixel of them on the screen. Other than that I think platforming in general could be a bit more challenging but falling squares could use some kind of danger indicator because they feel unfair as is.
That said, I liked the game. The graphics are appealing and the gameplay is almost addictive. Reminds me of good old Doodle Jump.
Great take on a classic platformer level. I had some troubles with strangely generated platforms, demanding long, perfectly timed jumps, which killed me a few time. The beautiful graphics along with the music create a nice ambience, well done !
Great pixel art, with a style I haven't seen much recently! Sometimes a bit hard not to fail probably because of some randomness in the platform generation. On a side note, I had to relaunch the page the first time I failed because the interface for retry wouldn't display.
First time I played, I had a bug where I couldn't restart. After that it went fine though! Had fun playing, took me some time to figure out I could jump through the platforms. Liked the art and sound a lot!
I basically echo @koalaura's input exactly; very first death was the lava and there was no restart menu that appeared; but that was the only time it was a problem. I also had the same thing where I didn't realize I could jump through platforms; that definitely made certain jumps easier lol.
Finally, others have mentioned this as well, but I had no idea there was any telegraphing of where the boulders would drop at all; I never noticed the falling particles until I read @lcstark's comment about how the appear behind one of the background layers. This is already an awesome entry, with the music, controls, and art all being really great, but I think fixing that telegraphing and the handful of bugs people have mentioned and this will be even better! Great job :D
Charming graphics and audio. In my first two sessions, the first platform was too far away, so I died (even with double jump). In the second death I also got stuck, I had to reload the page. But then I managed to play it, and I got very surprised when I saw the enemies. I thought it was only platforms!

Good job on making this game.
I did find that the itch.io layout/theme was too large, I'm playing on a 1080p television and I had to scroll to find the game :)
kinda easy tho, consider using a "coil" system to drag the lava closer to the player and keep the danger visible
Great controls, smooth responses, great work :D

Good Job
Very nice job!
by the way,i found that sometimes when you stand at the edge of the platform, you cannot jump.Is this a bug or it is designed specially?
Besides that everything was smooth! :)
Thank's for sharing!
Would be nice to have some warning of where the falling blocks will come, right now it can just smash you without warning.
The quit button is a bit redundant, it just freezes the game :D

At first I was frustrated by the blocks. They seemed so random. But then I noticed the subtle hints that were being dropped and I did a little better.
Thanks for making this!

I got blasted by a falling rock a few times haha but it seems balanced!

Perhaps making it rise faster when you are far enough ahead would keep it closer and making you feel a bit more pressure from it
Falling blocks and ghosts are scary.
Gameplay is a bit classic with cool pixel art. Adding some paralax on the background could be great I think.
Still a fun game, well done.
Спасибо!
Is the quit button supposed to do anything? In my experience, it isn't neccessary on web builds, as it only crashes the game.
Maybe i found a bug~Stuck here,never die
Example of such a soft-lock situation.
Plus there is a glitch where if you let the platforms go over the top of the screen, new platforms can spawn lower, so you can jump onto them
The first step of the jump was a bit of a test for me. I found that jumping too early seemed difficult to get to the platform, so I needed to seize the moment
It reminded me of the Brinstar platforming stage in Super Smash Bros Melee adventure mode.
liked it!
That said, I liked the game. The graphics are appealing and the gameplay is almost addictive. Reminds me of good old Doodle Jump.
The beautiful graphics along with the music create a nice ambience, well done !
Congrats on making a game!
After that it went fine though! Had fun playing, took me some time to figure out I could jump through the platforms. Liked the art and sound a lot!
The lava started a bit too early, if you missed your first jump you'd be dead. Other than that its a very nice entry :)
