Bert, the Grand Avian Alchemist's, has journeyed to the far off lands of Dusty Desert. Long have they sensed a foreboding evil drawing them here, calling to them in nights spent tossing in turning in nests across the lands. Buildings and implements of former alchemists are scattered across the land. Something bad did happen here... but what?

Suddenly! Magic swirls in the air around them! A shape begins to form out of the ether! It's... you!? Your doppelganger begins flinging spells at you! What is going on!? Looks like there's only one way to find out...

Cauldron of Duty is an arcady action game made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 49's Jam. The theme was "unstable". This game meets the theme because:
* Cauldrons get more and more unstable the more enemies attack or the more ingredients you add!
* You must discover how to get to an unstable place in order to win!

Controls

* WASD - Move
* Left Click - Fire Basic Spell
* Right Click - Cast Alchemical Spell (if you have alchemy potions)
* E - Interact
* Shift - Shift

Hints
* You weren't the first alchemist here! Look for hints in the sand from your fellow brethren!
* Generally, alchemical brews of a single element are the most effective.
* Brews of multiple ingredients seem to produce a strange, blue liquid Bert can't seem to use on themself...
* Bert can drop the ingredient they are currently holding by pressing E again.
