Actually really good. I love the sound. The weird camera rotation actually made it feel like balancing on a rope. The difficulty was good, but I feel like the cannonballs should have had slightly more weight to them.
super fun, maybe the funniest I've played so far. Although the graphics are simple, they do the job. The physics works well good, and the audio ... well the audio is brutal, it's another level: D, very good!
The tightrope walking was great. It's pretty fun. The camera rotations really sold the wobbling, as others said. Those cannons messed me up every time. I could barely manage before being shot at. Fun sounds of course :)
It's pretty funny, though I had a hard time staying balanced even when nothing was hitting me. It would just change so suddenly sometimes and I was not able to react fast enough. This was especially hard at corners in the path since the camera moves it is harder to figure out how balanced I am for a moment.
I liked the little touches of changing character outfit or sky colors for variety.
Thanks @romandviski@almost@cabjhegas! Yeah well @almost it's unstable, of course it changes suddenly! Jokes aside I agree it's too difficult. Also, it subtly becomes harder and harder to balance the longer you go without falling down.
I really liked this game. It has potential. There are two big issues with it. There's a camera bug where the camera is rotated about 90 degrees sometimes on respawn. That and the difficulty needs to be a little more lenient on respawn. Most of the time I was already too close to losing by time I got my bearings, so progress was extremely slow. Other than those two things, I thought the pacing was good, the idea was solid, and the audio is a work of genius. Please keep it up, as I'd love to see what you do next.
This is absolutely the most humorous game I've played so far. The audio was perfection and I loved just how ridiculous it felt getting shot in the face by that cannon. The gameplay itself was way too difficult for me to get even close to beating it, but I had so much fun regardless. I too encountered what I think was the camera bug where it's rotation was upside down or sideways too much. Overall, the game is hilarious and I had a lot of fun!
Thank you @myles-doupe and @datadazer! I agree on the difficulty, it's too much. The camera rotation however was entirely on purpose to make the game feel even more unstable :P On every respawn I increase the maximum range of rotation and then randomly decide how much to apply. I'm sorry it felt like a bug, do you have any suggestions on how to make it feel deliberate or do you think it should be scrapped entirely?
That was an interesting and unexpected turn to walk down the side of the building. Pretty cool twist. And cannons shooting at me? What did I as a tightrope walker do to deserve that? Society should have a rule to not heckle tightrope walkers! Anyway, really cool entry and the camera follow was really fantastic!
Dude.... you and i sound ... very similar. I'm a little spooked. I also voice my own music for games, so, like - massive respect. This is amazing!!! :D Really amazing game. The music made the whole experience! Simple game play made immersive because the atmosphere and the sounds were just incredible.
The only piece of feedback i have is that the progression of game play didn't quite make sense. When i fell, i started at an arbitrary point it felt. It would be more intuitive if i knew the check points i was passing - something as simple as text popping up saying "you've passed a checkpoint" so i get some bearings on how far i've come and how far i need to go still.
Other than this, it was really fun. Really well done - and nice job on the compo :)
The music is genius!! I absolutely loved it. The gameplay itself was very hard and a bit frustrating. I got really excited when I saw you the beams were changing planes but I couldn't get past that corner :(
@britt-henderson that's because I'm obviously your Mr. Hyde, dear Dr. Handerson. You're absolutely right on the checkpoints, I should have made them obvious with some graphical effect. I had to cut so much I wanted to do and this was one of those things.
@nyxkn Sorry to hear that, it turned out harder than I wanted it to be. When I have time I'll probably expand on this and tweak the difficulty right, so stay tuned!
Hands down some of the best music I have heard this Ludum Dare! Thank you so much for submitting your entry to my stream, I had a lot of fun playing it!
The rotating camera was a cool idea, really made the game a lot harder. With that in mind, it was fantastic that you were so liberal with the check points. Thanks to that I was able to finish the game which is always cool!
Great use of the theme, great music and overall a great experience! :trophy:
Hats off for the music i laughed my ass out xd I thing the gameplay should be easier to progress and the balancing mechanic a bit steadier . Other than that its the funniest game i played so far and the music will play in my head for at least a weak :P
That music was nice! Great beat boxing, melody and bass. It was fun trying to balance myself on the rope. I didn't really understand what I'm supposed to do with the cannons firing my way, it seemed I just have to ignore them. I wish there was a little more to do than just hit left and right to balance. For example, maybe I should have had obstacles that require me to lean to some direction? Still, twas fun, thank you for the game.
Rad music! Gameplay was simple and fun too. I found it very challening - I couldn't even beat what I assume is the first level. Maybe a "save" mechanic might have helped? Either way, excellent OST and you are right on theme.

@denatus I wanted to grudually start unbalancing the player but I forgot, lol
You make my day!
I liked the little touches of changing character outfit or sky colors for variety.
Good job
@tigerfinch yeah difficulty in general is harder than I meant it to be
@arkinrev we truly live in heckling times!

@ubershmekel yeah the cannons are there as a distraction mainly. Obstacles that require you to lean to some direction is a great suggestion, thanks!
@pbg there are checkpoints, but the game is one unique first level. Sorry about the difficulty, it's way higher than I intended.
