I was really unsure about the controls or even how to get the boat to move. :(

Same here, I really tried to understand how to move the boat and I kind of managed to move left and right, but that was pretty much it. It felt like the wheel and the sail had a random behavior each time I tried to use them.

The graphics and the music are not too bad for a compo game however!
