Thanks y'all! It's funny how the maximally simple controls (press any key to turn left) can be so complex to explain (yes, right arrow key as well). I made some final edits today to make the first levels simple and clear(er).

A great take on the classic Snake mechanics! Amazing how so simple controls can generate such a fun and challenging game! I can't stop playing a level until I have seen the Snek's victory dance at the end :)

Really fantastic game! Great presentation and lots of UI juice - I got hooked on just playing level after level. My only very minor complaint is that I think the snake shouldn't start moving until the player provides input, sometimes I was unprepared and would fail the level immediately.

Otherwise really outstanding game!

This was one hell of an experience. It's so polished, seeing it as a new go to casual game making big rounds is not hard at all!

This is really great, very engaging especially with such a simple concept (a single input!). Graphics are perfect and it's just very fun all round. Have to feel sorry for the snake, though, keeps getting his face bashed in!

I actually thought about adding coin pickups! (And players might buy a coin doubler?) But I'm not sure what Snek upgrades one would actually spend those coins on.

I was totally overcomplicating it in first plays, after 2 min you get the way. Nice, simple, polished game here, congrats

Very pretty, obviously! I found the controls for retrying a bit frustrating, though; so a game this fast-to-fail you really want retries to be as quick and seamless as possible, but here I seem to have to switch from keyboard to mouse every time I fail (which is often, obviously), and the animation on death is pretty long. With faster retries I'm sure I would play this game a lot more!

Honestly, double the number of levels and you could probably sell this on mobile or steam just fine.

I'm afraid I don't remember; maybe space? Since the game doesn't use any specific keys for gameplay I don't think I was expecting any specific keys to do anything, and the restart wasn't "any key" (and obviously you wouldn't want it to be, since that would be too easy to trigger unintentionally).

Woah, incredibly polished game here! Really nice and consistent art style, with great UI too, and it feels like an example of "one button" gameplay done right. Restarting is nice and quick so it doesn't get too frustrating dying.

My one complaint is that when the difficulty comes from not being able to see? Those levels feel like the least fun, and least satisfying to complete. It felt like pure luck if I came out the other side or not, rather than something I could master. But there were an impressive number of levels here, with good introductions for each new thing like the stairs - some good level design there!

Overall, really great entry, I liked this a lot!
