Untitled Digging Game

I really enjoyed the visuals, theme, and voice acting. Only problems I had was how easy it is to get hit multiple times without ever touching the ground and how you can get dinged constantly by some of the effects just pushing you into something when it starts. The platformer controls felt good though.

This plays really well, everything is quick and smooth, and I didn't run into any bugs. I kinda got some Starseed Pilgrim vibes from the game, which was cool, a simple but mysterious game world where you learn how things work by watching closely. The "shuffle" effect as the flying disturbance or whatever it is moves around is neat. The game is pretty hard (I struggled to get past 15 or so), but the world is predictable enough that I could see the skill cap being pretty high. I could picture an expanded version of this game with different sorts of blocks to encounter being very interesting. Overall I really enjoyed this, and it's definitely got me thinking which I love. A really well done atmospheric game. I agree with the previous commenter that this is the best exposition of the jam theme.

The glitched effects were pretty cool! I like the game idea very much and I think it ties in so well with the current theme! Great job on this submission! Really polished imo, I like how there's even a ragdoll death for the player.

I like the aesthetic, and the simple mechanics feel polished and fun.

Nice and surprisingly smooth jumping and platforming. Liked the strategy/puzzle elements how to get to the next gem. Well done!

wow ! i didnt expected the game to be that polish when i started it, i love he vfx a lot and the overall mood, it work very well. the gameplay is simple to understand but very effective. such a great entry

Very cool game! The gameplay is fun, and the atmosphere is immersive. For rating though, I notice that there is no audio rating (I would rate audio highly), and there instead a humor option, which doesn't really apply to this game.

Fun game, I like the animations and sounds. However, it's sometimes hard to move up large distances.

Great game loop. You just keep playing anf going for more gems. The art is pleasant and the sound i well-designed. The control scheme is a bit difficult for non-QWERTY keyboards tho.

@joye thanks for the feedback. What keyboard layout do you use? It is something I will keep in mind for future games/if I ever update this one
