A game about a dog and a surprising visitor to his yard.

Boop the balloon and do other dog things before the inevitable happens and your surprise visitor is no more.

Controls

A / D or arrow keys to move.
Spacebar to jump.
Left ctrl or enter to interact.
Esc to exit.

Notes

- Unfortunately no controls for mobile and camera scaling on mobile, and very wide screens in general, is also broken. Sorry about that, I'll see if I can fix that...

Changes

April 12th:
- Fix jumping animation getting stuck and not being able to jump anymore.

April 6th:
- Make webgl build.
- Fix bug where mark territory could be activated anywhere.
- Fix bug where mark territory could be activated only once.

I loved the little sprite for the dog when jumping--very cute.

I'd have liked to have seen more to do in the yard and probably a way for the game to progressively get harder (such as the balloon falling faster or hazards for it to have to avoid in the air) because, as it stands there's not much challenge.

The physics on the balloon were strangely appealing, as was the sad little animation it made when it finally popped.

Cute entry! Loved the sprite of the dog while jumping! I ran into a bug where the dog stayed in the jumping state, while the dog already reached the ground though. But restarting the game fixed that.

I like the mechanics to keep the ballon in the players view, though I think the balloon has to move a bit more unpredictable, as currently it feels too easy to control it. But its diffucult to find the right balance there.

just a solid good vibes game. nothing negative to say. i had fun booping the ballon, the dog was so cute! i liked that it wasnt overly difficult to keep the balloon up making the theme more a player choice thing rather than something forced upon them. which just helps juice the mood of the game. good job !

Good cute graphics, nice sound effects, and love the humor. I've never thought that I would be able to make a dog 'mark her territory". Overall, good entry!

i only wish there was more to it, it was pretty easy to keep the balloon up. but i thought all the different ways you could keep the balloon up were pretty witty!

I found a bug where if you hug the right wall and jump, you get stuck in the jumping animation on the ground, and are then unable to jump. A minor issue, ultimately. Nice entry! I appreciate the creativity in designing the helpful environmental elements.

lovely little game, the art was really cute especially the jumping animation and the bird booping the baloon. i would have liekd to see it get progressivly harder as currently i think that it misses the mark on the theme as its prety easy to keep the baloon up for as long as you would like

Nice art style! Love the sound effect and it was a nice touch of humour. I would of probably added a main soundtrack and maybe like the balloon drops faster as the score gets higher(I feel like I could of played it forever ahaha).

Art is very cute, especially the animation for the dog's jump!

Sound effects fit the game well.

The little mini interactions were fun, wish there were more of them.

It was pretty easy to keep the balloon up. Maybe you could add a little more variability in how the balloon moves to make it more engaging.
