"Hey the Corgi looks cute I should play this game" Then I saw the corgi holding a gun. The art is very great. Noice job.

The mini map is super necessary to stay alive but at some point it felt like I was aiming more with the mini map to shoot across the house rather than looking at the game. Maybe if they came from 180 degrees instead of 360 I would be less reliant on it. Great touch with the owner dialogue, metal music and of course all the art is so cute!

I think the thing I wanted to see most was more play variety dependent on my upgrade choices.

Fun idea, really liked the art and the music.
To me the wave pacing felt a bit slow, personally I'd love to see the Corgi going bananas on those cats!
Aside from that, it was enjoyable to play.

This game is so cute!

Very cute idea and also a lot of fun! I did find it pretty difficult to manage because I needed to go around the house. Adding more obstacles for the cats to have to go around might help. I would also love to see something like automatic coin collection added as an upgrade.

Great game. Might I suggest having the camera pan slightly towards the direction if your aim rather than be fully focused on centering teh corgi? It would improve visibility and allow you to see enemies better ahead of time.

Wow, that was fun. After my first playthrough, I saw the mini-map and it changed the whole game for me. I managed to get to Wave 7, which I thought was pretty good!

This is a pretty fun game! Everything looks and feels great. I also took a couple minutes to see the minimap which definitely makes it a lot easier to keep track of what's going on. I like the risk/reward present in choosing your upgrade options, and I really like the little quips from the owner inside. Nice job to the team!

The house is quite big that it's little bit hard to reach the other side of it. Maybe increase speed at the beginning is a good idea? Interesting corgi, nice job!

After several rounds i found that speed was the most prior point i needed to upgrade, but the challenge was too overwhelming when enemies were surrounding house. The control of move and shoot is very smooth~i love it.

Rambo Corgi with an AK! That is amazing. I also found that Speed is a really good upgrade early on as you might have intruders from the other side already hitting the house. I spotted the minimap a few rounds in, that's also really useful. Worth maybe making it a bit bigger. Great submission and complete experience, guys!

Got to wave 8, high score 12600. Man this game is hard.

The meta is probably save for a gun upgrade first. Also look at the minimap and try to snipe the cats ot of your sight.
Would really love some indicators for cats not in your screen. Maybe flash the indicator only when they are attacking for balance? Or perhaps the bullets' speed can be increased?

The art style is cute and coherent. Music is great. Really put your hearts into the old man quotes :laughing: All in all simple idea, solid execution. Good job!

So I have to admit I didn't read the description. My god, am I glad I didn't. It made the peaceful menu transitoning into the heavy metal with the gun a lot more comedic. The gameplay is simple, but very well exectued, and ramps up in difficulty surprisingly quick. The aforementioned heavy metal, along with the rest of the sound effects, do a great job of setting the tone, and I loved the old man's little quips inside the building (The music *is* boppin). Overall, great job!

Great and fun little game, I liked the UI and the progression, the trailer was probably a bit much haha but the game was fun!

Yays!! Awesome! Love the music, the graphics, the action, the upgrade gameplay loop, fun! Not the most innovative gameplay or theme wise but I can't really complain about anything.

I had a good laugh!

Game feels great, controls are intuitive, movement feels good.
The upgrade system with increasing repair cost is smart, as is the fact that some enemies go for the dog and some for the house. Vision perimeter feels small, so I mostly had my eyes on the mini map, which is a bit sad considering the beautiful art you created haha.

What an excellent little game. Really love the whole experience - the only weak point I found is the bullet speed, which is too slow in my opinion, I would have like them to be faster than a cat's projectile so that you can more efficiently stop those. Except this one point, a fun and pleasant experience. A solid entry and a very good job from all of you!

I really liked the pixel art! I *really* wanted to be able to just click and hold to shoot - it'd really help accessibility. The only other lil nitpick I had with it was the minimap. I think it'd be a little more usable if it kind of followed you around, that way the angles all matched up with the angle you have to shoot.

Really funny gun wielding corgi, haha! How did you come up with that? I really liked the minimap, would be cool if you could see where you're aiming on there too.

@nardandas you actually can! it might've been a little vague on the first gun since the fire rate is a lot lower on the pistol, but each subsequent weapon upgrade will make the intervals between it smaller. We should probably have made it a little clearer though!

@renge Thank you! We thought it'd be funny to subvert people's expectations by making it look like just a cute corgi game instead of what it actually is, which we also incorporated into the switch between the cute main theme and menu to the intense gameplay and game music.

Came here from Aarimous twitch stream. This game looks so amazing! The title screen really draws you in and the tonal shift to the gameplay was super funny! Feels smooth and complete. Really well done!!

The visuals and music are perfect! It's great that the dog has turned into a huge jock, haha. It's fun to play, but a little clumsy. Maybe it's worth changing something. But I don't understand it. Great job!

Very charming game! You managed to make the upgrade process not feel tacked on like many shooter-with-upgrades feel in a game jam. the art style and premise were great, and I enjoyed the humour. I also thought it was an interesting design to have players have to choose between collecting their coin vs protecting the house. Nice one!

Title had me fooled XD. Loved the music and visuals but i think it's a little too hard at the start since repairing the house has an incremental cost :)

I like corgies, nice entry!
