Hold The Door!

You're alone in your house and baddies want in and they just keep coming!
You try to fix your door with wood or iron as they bash against it but there is only so much you can do on your own.

Use "A" & "D" or Left & Right Arrows to move side to side as you grab supplies from your chest and run them to the door to fix it.
Just run in to the chest and door to pick up supplies and use them to repair the door.

Day 1 progress and gif.

Please be critical, it's my first Ludum Dare.
Needs lots of polish still and an ending that's more than the baddies stopping in their tracks once they break down your door!

Last day update!

- Added version 1.0 to the linked google drive folder.
- Added a proper ending. The baddies capture you and you become one before running off to capture some one else.
- Added a High Score to the credits.
- Added a shake to the door when it gets hit for visual feedback on top of the knocking sound.
- Added enemies spawning on the title screen to make it more interesting.
- Added screen transitions between Title screen, Game play, and Credits.
- Added clouds and birds to the backgrounds.

Pretty happy that I was able to finish a game in time for once.

Hodor! I feel the mechanic could use more options than stand at the door and grab stuff from the box. Very unique idea, I would love to see you explore what you could do with it more.

I'm sure you're already aware of most of the issues. There isn't really any gameplay besides running back and forth, counters overlap, there's no way to restart the game from within, and the iron doesn't appear to work on the door, only the wood does. This is a decent programming experiment, though, and I find the visuals very charming even if they are primitive.
