No Way Out
#### After living a life of crime you die in a car crash during a high speed chase with the cops. Even you weren't exactly surprised to land in hell, but this can't be the end...
Run away from the devil for as long as possible, while the devil - knowing how much you hate trivia - has made a game out of every crossroad in his endless maze
Two of the roads are filled with traps while one is completely safe, but don't take too long to decide as the devil is right behind!
#### Can you juggle surviving many different traps and answering trivia all while running away from the devil?
#### All the assets (except audio, which is CC0) were made by one person, me, within the jam time
(The game has controller support, outside of the menu)

Nice game! I really like the attention to details and graphics: skeletton animations, the devil behind you, the meteors and hanging cages... Also the sound design with the whispers is very good.
Maybe some traps are a little too challenging and can feel unfair: the rats are very hard to spot and shoot, the bats a little bit too, and the spiky logs are hard to avoid because of the low gravity.
Nice game overall!

@jojopalambas Thanks, I understand your feedback, it was hard striking a balance between the difficulty of the questions and the traps.
If the questions were too easy no one would even have to deal with any traps.
If the traps were too easy no one would have to care about answering right.
That's why I decided to make some of the traps quite difficult.. maybe a bit too difficult :)

Such a cool game, You can tell how much work went into the mood and overall atmosphere of the game! When O first saw it I didn't know it was a trivia game but its such a good concept of being in hell and having to answer trivia questions :smile:
It is a challenging game and maybe with some more time could be tweaked to be more fair for the player but overall its a neat concept and game

This is great, one of my favourites so far. wish the gun was used more shoot targets to open doors or something. nice job! and in unreal too. I would like to do a jam in unreal one time

This was great! Love the sky/meteors, the quiz-type puzzles, and the feel of the pistol. The devil is scary!

Very cool idea. I really liked the idea of needing to make quick choices for the quiz element. The music / sound was very cool and atmospheric!

Central idea here is tremendously funny, so thanks for that :laughing: Especially with how all-in you went on playing it straight with the creepy sounds and graphics. Just brought a smile to my face. The actual gameplay, I mean, it's trivia with little FPS challenges. It works fine though! I enjoyed it, and the trivia questions themselves felt like they were in a good spot where I knew the answers to most but not all of them. The fighting/dodging/platforming was fine too, but simple. Nice job!

My highscore is 2 minutes and 53 seconds. Nice game, I like the graphics and the atmosphere. I didn't notice a question being asked for the first 3 playthroughs haha.

Really nice graphics and atmosphere in the game. It is good to be able to fight your way through when you select the wrong path. The pace is in the game is just right it keeps you on the edge. As an improvement you might add some rewards to the right path such as health or speed.

Couldn't stop playing! I got to 4:40 as my high score. At a certain point I just ended up running straight through and avoiding all of the obstacles because it got way too hectic to even read the question. Overall though, great game with a fun premise!

Very nice game, nice graphics and stressful pace! Traps are various and we always wait for the next one (with a small disapointment when nothing comes actually ahah). Unexpectedly, I found the choice between 3 random words quite funny :) Congrats!

great game, nice traps, hard trivia tho I some times just yolo it lol, I love the trap that was made out of wood and spikes around them, you really need to think around the traps and trivia! nice job man, keep it up!

@dactarium I know what you're talking about, the bats actually do spawn in front of you but because most people don't look up and you pass them so fast they quickly go from attacking you straight on to chasing you.
I tried to make them easier to spot but that definitely wasn't enough as it seems most people think they just chase you :-/

@lonelyliongames Bats is okey but rats little bit hard to shoot them when they chasing you.
On the other hand, I like graphics, atmosphere and tension. Shooting feels perfect and smooth.

that was a crazy ride - interresting version of a biathlon: Running for you life and answering questions about random trivia ... I forgot eventually shooting vermin lol
the concept is amazing and the mood of the game is great and works really well!
The questions are not too hard, not too easy, perfect for creating fun situation when you are in a hurry. And even if you miss, you just have to beat another challenge! I was getting really anxious towards the end when the monster would catch up on me even if I didn't stop at all.
I lasted 1:40.
The whole team did a great job!! Even if I've only beginned ratings, I feel like this will stay one of my favorite ;)
