I followed some arts of this game in the feed, and man, what a job, congratulations! It's my first time making COMPO games and playing only COMPO games, and it's amazing to see what people do in two days.

I found some funny bugs, like double jumps, but everything is very solid, the
music and the art and the code.

Very cool game. I had some doubts about making the player go through all levels each time they die, but in the end the mechanics and game play is so fun that I didn't really mind it, but rather enjoyed the experience of getting better fighting each boss.

That's really cool. I love the art style and the gameplay is fun! The only thing is it took me a bit to figure out I could hit the first boss's necklace. Thats very minor though, and it might just be me.

Can I suggest a change to the control scheme ? Left Ctrl + Arrow key on mac changes the Desktop. The control are more frustrating than the boss =(

This was awesome. Loved the boss designs and their movesets. All of their attacks were indicated very well and made use full use of your actions. It was not immediately apparent that I could deflect projectiles using my cane, though the fact that the pills of the second boss track you is definitely an indicator. I also felt that the timing for the second boss felt a little off, and that his syringe attack could have used more indication. Have no problems with the first and third boss though. Both had beautiful and large indicators for their attacks, all of which were fun to avoid. ( Although I did feel like the timing of the skulls of the third boss were a little unfair at times, though maybe that's just me ). The art and audio for every encounter was incredible. Great job on this game overall. Ending was nice lol.

Great entry and hommage to retro platformers boss fight. The boss design are inspired, each one telling the "story" subtly. This was great well done.

Aww man, this game totally rocks!! I immediately loved how you get to play as a grandpa and the way you incorporated the theme into this is GENIUS. I played this for a hot minute trying to see how far I can go. Music is great, art is amazing, and the gameplay is super smooth. Definitely coming back to this one to play again.

Really great interpretation of the them. Very well made for the 48 hour time window. Honestly it was really solid and polished in general. The art and sounds worked great together. The boss fights were really well designed as well. Number three beat the crap out of me more times than I would like to admit.

Battles were pretty simple but absolutely effective. I really enjoyed the visuals, the mood and the overall experience. One of the best projects I tried!!!

The character design is fantastic, the music really gets the energy going and the gameplay is really hard, always fair, very rewarding, just almost perfect. If this was expanded into a real game, maybe with more story driven parts as well, I could really see this take off.

I feel like saying anything bad about this game is pure blasphemy. Like talking ill about pizza or cake. The sound is *chef's kiss. The art is to pay for. The design is marvelous, and the game flow is perfect. The controls tho... I couldn't play in browser because the chrome wanted to make bookmarks or delete the tab. I downloaded the game and tried my controller. It worked, but the character wouldn't stop jumping or walking. It's fine that it is not perfect. It is in every other regard. Thank you so much for this.

This game is awesome, and despite being short feals really complete. The artstyle is really nice, musicwise with the size of the ennemies it really gets you into an epic mood. Good job!

lovedddd this, this game is so tight and the music got me pumped up. the grim reaper got me though because i didn't realize he would suddenly become a pro golfer with his scythe :sob:

This was very fun to play! I think that graphics and audio worked well together. Sometimes it felt like it was a bit hard knowing where the hitboxes would be on the hands but that might just be lack of game experience on my side! :)

The audio was engaging/intense which fit really well with the gameplay/graphics/mood. I loved the different boss art for each stage. The different segments were unique and it was fun to learn them as I went through them.

Ctrl + W is the "Open bookmark" shortcut on Microsoft Edge, which was a struggle LOL Perhaps something to keep in mind for future games when picking the controls :D

Really fun and well made, unbelieavable you could draw all of that, program it and make a catchy music on top! Only drawback is that the theme integration is weak, but no matter, great job!

Absolutely ridiculous how much content you're able to crank out in a weekend.

The art and music are absolutely on-point, and although the gameplay is a little generic, it is super polished and more than juicy enough to be engaging and fun. The backswing on that last boss really threw me for a loop the first time. :sweat_smile:
