Only You Can Try In Vain To Prevent Forest Fires On An Active Volcano

This was one of my favourites I have played so far. I would play a full game of something similar. Great submission.

I burned to death repeatedly.

Strong on theme. I was trying to defend everything at once, but the lava got to be too much.

My poor bear managed to get stuck in the ground :(

I Encountered a few bug where I got stuck in the ground but other than that the game ran well.

It was fun, funny and intense.

Fun game. I would have liked more precision in the digging. Got stuck at the bottom of the volcano a couple of times.

The panic was real :cold_sweat: That was a really fun game! After a few play throughs it wasn't clear if the trees actually mattered or if you could just let them all die and hide safely in a corner to wrack up the points.

Very impressive entry! The premise and title are hilarious, and the gameplay is fresh and creative, even the graphics stand out as especially good. And it's a compo entry! Definitely one of my favorites this LD. Great job, be proud!

I like the graphics (particularly the lighting), and the sound effects are on point.

This is such a great concept! If you can make it more fun and add game juice this could be a hit. Maybe it would work even better in 2D? Nice job!

Actually, though, quite a nice mix of absolute chaos (since sooner or later one of those hot boulders is going to land in a bunch of trees) and genuine strategy. I enjoyed being able to try and carve out a channel for the lava somewhere it would minimise the damage. Being able to dig a big hollow in one area and then direct the flow into it was quite satisfying, and always made for an interesting trade-off between making the hollow as big as possible and getting the lava into it as soon as possible. Plus the game looks and sounds great! There's actually not very much I'd like to see done differently here - I've given it high ratings across the board. Lovely stuff!
