Very solid and surprisingly fun game! First I though it was only ok but then I got my first upgrade and the whole game opened up in a different way. Upgrades are super fun and it was always exiting to try to get to the next upgrade. I wanted to try out different upgrades to see how they would interact with each other.

The only negative feedback I have is that the game seems way too easy. I was never even close to dying and it feels like the game did not become any harder (or if it did it was very slow).

But overall, really solid game and this has potential to be a cool time killer game (maybe for mobile?).

The game is very striking, and very fun. I did notice that all I had to do was choose one spot that all the bugs aimed for and click there over and over. I feel like if they were to land at different angles on the face, it'd be more challenging. I'm not completely sure how the theme links to the chameleon eating bugs beyond what's written, game wise I feel like it's a little arbitrary. To be fair, this looks like it was a ton of work for a 3 day jam, and it looks beautiful, feels good, and is fun to play. Despite my complaints I definitely recommend it, and I could find myself playing it again.

Very solid game! It is really fun to stack all the upgrades and wipe out a swarm of flies. The set-up is quite hilarious and I love the soundtrack and sound effect. Definitely fun to play!

I do agree with the other comments that at some point you basically become invincible as long as you press into a certain direction. Maybe it could be helpful to put the chameleon in the middle of the screen and have flies come from all directions, or to introduce a mechanic that distinguishes between the actual fly that you hit and the additional flies you get with the upgrades, so that it is still rewarding to try and get specific flies.

Very pretty and fun. The music and art created a solid mood, and most importantly the gameplay was fun, especially as I got to choose upgrades.

I really liked this. Upgrades were really fun. I wish there were more points the bugs flew too, after a while, I could just click in one spot over and over again. I really liked the art and the sounds.

I think I've got the strategy! But then it becomes quite chaotic. Very moody game, counting (swallowing) numerous insects. The effects could be more, like bloated (clearing the screen) or else. Anyway, this is one very exciting and totally playable clicker defense. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed this. The gameplay is quite satisfying and looks good. everything seems quite smooth and polished for a jam entry except level ups which I often just clicked randomly on accident and a bug with teh difficulty when restarting (I think). ´Great stuff!

@swordmage Thank you so much for your comment. You're absolutely right with the upgrade selection which are easy to be clicked by accident and indeed, the difficulty isn't being reset on restart. Great observation skills :)

Very fun and creative! It reminded me a bit of Pyoro, although the mood is much more relaxed. With more content I could definitely picture myself playing it while listening to some podcast or videos in the background

Very fun game, with lovely art style. I liked how you start the game by eating the start button, very creative. the game continued for me a lot longer than I thought I would last, I think adding maybe an extra variety of insects to eat this could be improved on but even in its current state its definitely seems well refined enough to be considered a full game.

Im just revisiting the games I found most memorable. this is one of them. I too can easily see this being turned into a full game
