One last thing, the music sounds... well, really professionnaly recorded, and since you did'nt list any musician, I'm not sure you made it yourself. In this case, you should opt-out from the audio ratings.
Overall, that's a nice 3D immersive experience, but it would be better with a little more context or gameplay. Good job!
Unfortunately despite that I think it's very lacking on the gameplay side - it gets repetitive too fast.
Looks like with some more time you could do something really interesting!
Thank you all for your kind words and for play! We totally agree that a little more context and effort in the level design part would have been better. We will take it into account for our next projects! :3
Good job guys!
The graphics are creepy, but the lighting is way too dark. Not in a spooky way but in a too dark to see anything way. I couldn't see anything in the starting area and I couldn't tell there was floor I could land on after the first platform. I thought I had to jump into the bottomless pit.
The level design is pretty non existent, I think this game could work better if the character was inside some closed environment with platforming sections. Running in a straight line over a bunch of clouds wasn't particularly interesting, and if you fell down before getting all the dolls, there's nothing you can do to win and the game doesn't end so it forces the player to kill themselves after a single mistake.
Good job putting this together in time with such a large team. Coordinating work like this is hard with a large group and you guys pulled it off
I found moving in the air while jumping a little finicky, particularly when trying to strafe left and right after jumping - the character seems to move very quickly past where the camera is looking, making it hard to predict where the landing what going to happen. Some sort of shadow underneath the character to help determine where you'll land would have been very helpful for this too.
- @muriel More context would have been great indeed, thanks for your feedback!
- @peter-sc Yeah we had some problems with controls D: Glad you liked it!
- @skleembof Hey that was a really interesting feedback. Regarding the fact you can't get the doll if you fall down was kinda intentional at first... we really lack of playtesting time to notice that wasn't interesting enough. Thanks for the feedback!
- @joeyrosicka Glad you manage to get the mood we tried to give! Yeah the movement ended up little weird D:
- @lecloow7 Much appreciated!
- @unfinished Thanks a lot for your feedback, really useful indeed!
- @mickxe Thank you pal! We really made an effort to achieve this
- @tete Thank you! Nice feedback for a possible future update.
