When Penguins Fly

Simple and fun game. The art style is great. The music is a little repetitive.

This was kinda fun. It was interesting to glide around and try to stay up. Fits the theme very well. I wish there was more variety and mobility in your movement. If you made me feel like I was going super fast and "catching the currents" that would be awesome.

Fun little idea, I got to 1km :smile: Sometimes I had a feeling that there weren't any wind currents and got quite low. The loop music could probably be longer, because it sounds really repetitive.

Some quick tipps for the next time, if you let the pinguin look slightly down or up, depending on his speed you get a nice effect of him flying higher as well as falling. Also some more types of clouds that do different thinks would be nice :)
But well done, keep on developing!

Simple but cute game. The sky background image is too small though, when I am at altitude 500ish I am able to see the grey background outside of the sky image lol. Good job.

Nice - simple little game! Made 886km. If you ever expand it, more variation on clouds and currents (maybe powerups or something) would be good. Plus some more varied music/audio. Great work though!

Nice, simple endless runner! Once I figured out that cirrus clouds boost you, I managed to 1225 meters.

I can't can too much feedback that hasn't already been said, but endless runners get a little boring without some variation. One way to do this is to simply speed the player up over time, but slow the player back to base speed on contact with a cumulus cloud, so the speed feels like a satisfying combo system or something.

Also, pressing LMB doesn't really feel like gliding - maybe a gradual upward movement rather than an instant one?

Otherwise, good job!

This reminds me of the flash games you used to see all the time where you're trying to get the character as far as possible. This game looked great and has a good base, some things that would really add to it are a slightly less repetitive soundtrack, more things in the sky so you can see movement (leaves, wind lines, background clouds, etc..). An upgrade system would take it a step further but not explicitly necessary.

Really cool nostalgia trip for me! You really captured the ol' good flash games mood perfectly. I liked the simple music and "retro" (in some way) art. Really cool entry! As some people mentioned, if you want to improve it after jam some upgrade systems or items in the sky could add a good variety. Good job!
